* Description: This app repeatedly sounds alerts at preset intervals. For alerts to work, this app needs to be installed as widget on the desktop. This is done by long-touching on the screen, selecting widgets, and then dragging the widget to the desktop. Use this app to set up to 10 alerts to repeat at 2 minute to 1440 minute (24 hour) intervals for any combination of days in the week. The alert tones can be sounded with or without an accompanying text-to-speech reading of the alert message. For example, this app can be used as a daily alarm clock with auto-snooze that goes off by itself. Or, it can be used as an hourly chime. Different alerts can be combined together with different alarm tones. When the alert sounds, a user set message is briefly displayed on the screen as well.
* Usage: Add new alerts by clicking on the Edit button and following the instructions. To disable the alert, simply select the Disabled alert tone. To change the alert, simply click the Edit button again, and enter the new settings for start time, end time, repeat interval, and on-screen message. To enable text-to-speech reading of alert messages, simply touch the settings button, and touch the Enable Voice Alert button. Note: If the voiced message does not immediately sound, make sure that the app has been installed as a widget on the desktop, and voiced message has been enabled in the app. Please ensure that under Settings => Language and Input => Text to Speech, the device is set to Google Text-to-speech engine, and the default language is English. If you make any changes to the settings, please allow a length of time for the selected voice engine to install.
