Description

Unfortunately Android doesn't have default integrated functionality to notify user periodically about missing calls/messages/other notifications via sound (only LED is blinking). This opensource tool allows to monitor notifications from any applications which are important for You (including missed calls, messangers, SMS, etc) and perform sound reminder periodically

Just launch app, allow it to receive notification events, select reminder interval and important applications. That's it. If there are any unhandled notifications from thet selected apps in the statusbar, app will notify You periodically with the notification sound you choose.

IMPORTANT: if app doesn't work please try to find solution for your phone here https://dontkillmyapp.com

The battery is used only if there are missed notifications which requires periodical reminder. App wakes phone to perform sound notification and then sleep again.

The app uses minimum set of required permissions.

Android 4.0-4.2 support is experimental such as these OS versions doesn't have a 100% working method to monitor notification removal.

XIAOMI users should enable application autostart explicitly in the security settings
Huawei users should disable battery automanagement for the Missed Notifications Reminder app: in the Battery > App Launch -> Manage All Automatically - - > uncheck MNR app

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

4 ★Roland Partis..I found exactly same thing. always worked great until new update, now it stays on screen even after I've read the message..that action used to clear the reminder both visually and audibly..I've tried the foreground things the developer advised me and thought it was working but discovered it's not unfortunately.still works but now have to manually dismiss reminder. Btw,developer so helpful, replies instantly & works with u till sorted(we thought)most helpful! All sorted now Eugene..
4 ★Performs an essential function well, making the simple audio chime that notifies of new messages for all the apps I've tried. It is customizable for number of reminders and reminder interval. I'll return to give a five star rating when the app integrates visual reminders, such as flashing screen signals. You can include another app such as AOE for visual reminders. It would be best if audio and visual reminders were integrated into a single app.
5 ★Loved the app, until last android update. Apparently the app has no option to allow override do not disturb so reminders disabled while do not disturb activated. And I needed the reminder app specific to sound with do not disturb. Uninstalling and looking for a replacement app. As per developer remark, the advanced setting option "ignore device audio profile" allows you to override a silenced phone by do not disturb. App again installed top
5 ★I wanted my calendar events to vibrate more than once. I tried several calendar apps, but they all only vibrated one time when the event notification appeared. This frustrated me because I could st alarm sounds that buzzed many times for each event notification. Calendar app makers don't realize there are many places phones must be silent - work, library, school, night - so only a repeating vibrating alarm will do. Thankfully, this app SOLVES THE NEED FOR REPEATING VIBRATING ALARMS! Great!!
4 ★Great app but the alerts play at full volume and I can't find a way to adjust it.
5 ★Had to roll back to version 1.5.2.0.31 as no longer able to dismiss reminders from drop down notifications. Update: Changed from a Realme X5 Pro to a Poco X3 NFC and current version of app works fine and am able to dismiss notifications. Both phones on Android 10. Possible difference down to the UI.
4 ★Works well. I never miss an important text or call anymore. Five stars if it would tell you which app activated it. If one has many triggers, it's difficult to tell sometimes.
5 ★Wonderful design. чудово!!! Excellent development. Works great on my Pixel 3a. Would love to see an LED or screen light as an option. Will pay for premium version!!! The new contribute option does not accept Google Play account payment.
4 ★There is a problem.. feature?! This app does not produce repeatative notifications, instead it watches for notifications and then periodically vibrate/alarm e.t.c. That is a problem for smart watches, as i dont get these kind of alerts on the watches.
2 ★Used to work perfectly until update, works randomly when it wants to remind you. This is really bad for me as i used this for notifications for my security cameras to wake me up in case of robbers at my shop.
5 ★Extremely reliable and easy to use. It would be awesome to have a location based filter so you automatically don't get notifications in saved locations.
5 ★Dev, see my past reviews. -sigh- I am a very busy person but I stopped for a second to try your suggestion. It worked. Thanks. We're good. (Later I'll take a moment to stop the app's foreground on my other phones)
