Description

Measure your surrounding sounds using just your mobile's microphone and compare the results on a real time chart.

The circular meter displays the live sound level in Decibels and changes its color according to the measured value:
Green: Quiet range
Blue: Low sound range
Orange: Medium sound range
Red: High sound range

Pinch to zoom in and out of the real time chart and slide your finger to move across the measured values history.

Note: Due to the limitations set by most Android phone manufacturers, the built in microphone will not detect sounds higher than 80 Decibels (90 Decibels on certain models).

Disclaimer: This tool is not valid as a replacement to a real sound meter device and therefore, should not be used in critical situations. The mobile's microphone is not an industrially accurate sound measurement device and might produce incorrect and incompatible values with different environments and situations.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★dont even work it keeps saying 0 when i am making as much sound as i can
1 ★Keeps going up. No button or setting panel to reset anything. I reached 648 dB and still counting!
1 ★Fake application
5 ★Works great for me!
1 ★Pretty, colorful, but usless. It rated the tap of a nail against a doorknob in the night at a whopping 70 decibels. I'm not sure what hat it's pulling numbers out of, but if you want a fun to look at teaser, this is for you. If you're seeking a real application, this is not at all accurate.
3 ★Wish it had the ability to stop the meter. Zooming the history is hard while it's running. Easy to read and follow. Nice little sound meter.
