NOTES:
- Please do not expect a quiet room reading will be 0 dBA. The range 30 dBA - 130 dBA is the standard usable range and an average quiet room will be about 30 dBA.
- Although most devices are pre-calibrated, custom calibration is suggested for serious purposes requiring higher precision and accuracy. To calibrate, you will need a real external device or calibrated sound meter as a reference, then adjust the trimming value until the reading matches with the reference.

2 ★Oknso I have paid for the pro app as I need this for work. I would give this 5 star but just because I am an Android user should not mean I don't have access to the whole app. Apple are able to video and so should Android. I suggest you fix this we all pay the same so we should all get the same
1 ★Doesn't work as described, screenshots are of different version of app. Can't measure frequency. Too many ads, can't change a y setting without having to watch an ad.
5 ★I've just been to the hospital audiology department with my wife and asked them to calibrate this application. It was more or less spot on, just a tiny fraction out, which adjustment was made. That it was so very close is testament to how good this is. Since seeing how loud ambient noise is, not least on the train and just walking around London, I've taken to wearing ear plugs to protect my hearing. This has also proved useful persuading people to turn down music in places. Great application!
3 ★App works fine. But why does it need permission to use my camera to take pics or record video? Why does it need access to my location? Why does it need access to my photos or media files? Why does it need to record audio? This is not just a DB meter. It is also one of many phishing apps that collect data and use that data for targeted advertisement and they clearly use that data as a commodity to sell for profit. Data like the things and people you have taken pics of and locations you have been and conversations you have had about topics related to product advertisement. For instance, you could be talking about the newest movie and then suddenly you are seeing advertisements for that movie. The app works fine. In fact it works better than I thought it would. But I am not willing to give up that much privacy. All that said I will give it a neutral rating. 5 for function and 1 for privacy concerns.
4 ★It's pretty spot on. Out of the box it was about 3 or 4 decibels off. The running graph is very nice if you have to stop to look at the result of your test. The ability to save your tests is very handy and it's ready to go immediately after installation as it requires little initial setup. Its a good application; I'll definitely continue to use it.
3 ★It's a very handy app, however I think itd be more effective used indoors only. It denotes basic street noise while recording, but if theres a very loud noise unusual for the environment, it will still change the high end decibel level to the one for that isolated incident. Perhaps there's more to it than I was able to get to in my rush & if I go back & Im able to account for the sound that I'm specifically trying to capture (a voice yelling thru a bullhorn e.g.), then I will up my rating to 4 stars. I can't give it 5 stars since it won't export or share the data unless you pay to upgrade it.
5 ★It does what it says..I have a Crazy large stereo system set up, and i was concerned my young children may have been listening at volumes that were dangerous..Although i had know real precise way of knowing where to set the guide lines for Music, and Movies..This app has allowed me to set up listening rules, and max volumes for them...I was supprised to see just how many DB were being produced just barely turning the volume up..Great App , and will help protect the kids..
2 ★I have also got this App on another phone and had both apps running at the same time in the same room, but they show hugely different readings. On my Samsung 8note it reads an average of 45dcb (quiet room) and on my Huawei 10 it reads an average of 77.9dcb. (loud singing), both phones are in the same location. On a subjective level the noise is more like loud singing than a quiet room. I suppose this App is only as good as the phones' microphone.
2 ★Understand the need for Ads. That's OK, but taking over device even when sound is OFF and playing full screen with audio is NEVER OK. There are lots of private situations that this is inappropriate. But, also, I contacted the developer and - no responses. So, I suggest you look elsewhere.
1 ★Scam. I tried to purchase the full version through this version. This app charges the equivalent of micro transactions to get features or remove ads. None of that applies towards the pro version, which costs less than all the micro fees. Do not pay anything towards this version. If you want this app just buy Pro version outright. I want my money back for this waste.
5 ★This app does exactly what it says it does. We were having dinner & there was a large birthday party in the middle of the dining room. I understand they're celebrating someone's birthday, but have respect for others having dinner. I was curious how loud they were as most in the dining room were looking at them like wow yall sure are loud. They didn't care. This app read extremely loud. When we were almost about to leave & most of the dining room was empty, the decibel level didnt change much.
1 ★I barely could even try out this app, so many ads. Secondly, data saving capabilities were terrible. I would like to start a recording for say 5 minutes, stop it, save it, and then display the results and chart later. No can do. Way too confusing to use.
