A must-have for getting around the city of Chicago and the suburbs using CTA train and bus, Metra rail, or Pace bus. This app will be your favorite travel companion. It offers door-to-door public transit directions as well as estimates of when a CTA train, CTA bus, Metra train, or Pace bus is arriving at a stop or station. The app considers your travel preferences, such as modal choice, walking speed, and mobility needs such stairs, escalators, and elevators.This is app is brought to you by the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA), the unit of local government charged with regional financial and budgetary oversight, funding and transit planning for the CTA, Metra, Pace bus, and Pace Paratransit Service. The RTA region’s system provides more than two million rides each weekday on bus and rail services in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will Counties.
The RTA provides rider services, including travel planning assistance online at http://tripplanner.rtachicago.org and via the Travel Information Center at (312) 836-7000.
