Description

Rename & Organize with EXIF, formerly “Picture Manager” makes use of EXIF Metadata to rename and organize your pictures.

Renaming:
Rename your pictures with your desired timestamp formats and other EXIF metadata like camera model, manufacturer and many more.

Additional options are:
• Replace text in filename
• Append or prepend text
• Add a counter to your filenames
• To Upper- or Lowercase
• Manually rename and delete

Organising:
Clean up your image and video collection by sorting your pictures into dated folders or named by the location. This all works automatically by using the EXIF metadata-

E.g.:

• 2022 • 2022-02
↳ Oktober ↳ Thailand
↳ November ↳ Bankok
↳ Phuket

Moving:
Move media to another location. That can be on the same storage, an SD-Card or even SMB storage.
Want to only move specific media? Use EXIF Filters or Keywords to only move the ones you want.

EXIF Editor
Edit EXIF metadata directly in Picture Manager.
Use conditions to only edit EXIF attributes matching them.

Some special features:
• Set date on multiple images and increment the time with hour/minute/second
• Set the date and time delta on multiple images (to fix wrong timezone time for example)

Optimize images to reduce file size
By changing the dimensions and using webP compression you can reduze the file size and free up lots of space with nearly no quality loss.

Duplicates finder
Find duplicate images on your device to free up space!

Similar images finder
With an algorythm called PHash or AverageHash it is possible to find similar images.

Add GPS data from GPX file.
If your camera does not have a gps module you can record your gps coordinates with a 3rd party app into a gpx file. Picture Manager can then match timestamps from your images and the locations in the gpx file and write GPS data into your images.

Add missing EXIF thumbnails.
The thumbnail is used to display a preview images on your camera LCD screen or file explorers. It is saved into the EXIF metadata and helps cameras and file explores to show a preview of the image quickly because without it would require to read the whole image into memory beforehand

The premium version is an in app purchase and unlocks following features:

• Multiple presets
• Custom formats
• JobService to instantly rename and organize newly taken pictures
• SMB Support
• Similar images finder
• Add GPS data from .gpx file

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Neat app that allows fixing dates. Also lets you save presets for quick access.
5 ★This app has many of the functions that I need to manage photographs on Android. Renaming photographs with the date/time is very useful. Also useful is the ability to place photographs in folders and append the folder name to the file name. This enables some sophisticated naming whilst the photographs are on the phone. The most important aspect, however, is that the app is under regular and rapid development and the developer is responsive to requests.
5 ★This is a great app, does what the description says. The function I love most is the "fix file modification date", where other app that may work requires to root the device, but is only available in premium version. However, it is a bargain for such affordable price to pay for the premium.
3 ★Thanks for the prompt reply and update. Although not exactly what I need but appreciate very much your efforts. Better rename “#EXIF Renamer” as "File renamer according to EXIF". Hope it can edit 1 picture so that I can try before going for batch. "Old picture thumbnail still exists" is now solved. It would be nice if "REVERT" also works with Renaming! Would be great if it can edit EXIF.
5 ★Excellent app from a super responsive developer. This app is unique in what it does and I am yet to find a similar app. In addition to what the app description says, this app can organise your pictures into sub-folders based on their EXIF data. This is very useful for people who use multiple camera apps. Most camera apps (including GCam) use the same file naming convention and location to save files (DCIM/ Camera folder). This app helps to organise files by the camera app used to aid comparison.
5 ★Finally! Only app that does this! This resolves the major issue of when moving media to external storage you lose the created date and time stamps unless viewed on pc (for WhatsApp images, its completely lost). This is the only way I can resolve this issue. Well done you. If I manage to fix all my photos, I'll happily pay for premium just as a thank you.
5 ★I can't put words to the fact the developers of this app are more than willing to work with you regarding compensation for the pro version. I wish more developers would mimick their example. I'm grateful for this app and the devolpers and hope to have all 35,000 photos in my gallery updated with the correct metadata. My hope is to finally get my gallery back in order and it couldn't be possible without the help of this application and it's devolpers. Thanks again!
5 ★The best APP I've used. I tried probably 15 different APPs, none of them did what they claimed they did. This APP was very easy to batch date all my photos that were out of order due to transferring and restoring files; when viewing in Samsung's Gallery. Truly the best I've used so far. If I could give you 10 Stars I would.
5 ★found out the issue was scanning from sd card than internal memory, changing name via internal memory works just not on sd card samsung gallery issue so I'm updating and giving this 5 stars as it deserves. thank you this is awesome especially when moving photos from Sony a6400 to my phone ,one issue I have is my gallery app still sees the images as dsc files but on my files has the correct rename your app changed. is this a Samsung gallery issue or is there other issues I'm not aware of
5 ★Fantastic app! This took a big mess of 600+ images from various devices with different naming schemes including duplicates and made it all better. Everything was handled well. I did copy the source folder to my pc before running this just in case of disaster. I don't know why the complaints from others, this app is great.
2 ★Reply to dev: I strongly feel that most people are just hoping for the same basic rename option found in windows. Where you select the name (prefix) and then they are automatically number incrementally with the format "File name (01)" etc. Following the sort order you select. Now, I paid for the app so that I can have my prefix followed by something other than a very long "year/month/day/hour/minute/seconds" format. However, it still lacks the ability to retain previous file order... ~email sent
2 ★Way too complicated for me. I just want to click on a photo or group of photos and rename them. I just want the time and don't want to know how to build a clock.
