Description

Arcus will be shutting down in the near future.

The source of Arcus' data, Dark Sky, was recently purchased by Apple.

In their infinite wisdon, they've decided to shut down the API by end of 2021. I wont be waiting that long to stop paying Apple a penny of any earnings.

Disappointed by this terribly, but thank you to those who have supported me through the years.

How to install Arcus Weather APK on Android phone or tablet?

2 ★This used to be a solid app, but the development team has seemingly dropped the ball on Android 8.0/8.1. Paid for the upgrades but the update interval setting doesn't work at all (tray temperature icon only updates when I manually open the app) and the weather map hasn't worked in months.

1 ★It had been a great and beautiful app. I especially like the widget. However, for some reason the widget stops auto refresh. I have to press the refresh manually otherwise it would be showing the weather from days before, which sucks.

1 ★Loved this app. But the last 2 days it crashes every time I try to open it. Tried uninstalling, then reinstalling. No go.

2 ★Accurate, but the map doest work on the 3 Android devices I've tried. Fix that and you have an amazing app.

1 ★Was the best app of its kind. Sadly now no longer supported, since Apple bought the provider of the weather data.

1 ★It used to be a great app, super accurate....it has become very unpredictable, which is the opposite of what you want in a weather app. It is no longer accurate. I've submitted 2 tickets through the app but received no response. It is not being supported anymore.

1 ★I would use this app, but the text contrast is terrible, both light and dark themes. Can hardly read it, light gray background, slightly darker gray text. If there's a way to adjust that, I'd really like to know. Otherwise, a no go for me.

2 ★No longer supported. It once was the best weather app but updates ceased over 3 years ago and there is no response from the developer (even for paid users). The map function is completely inoperative and data is not as accurate as it once was. 👎

1 ★How the mighty have fallen... This was my go to weather app... unfortunately (as of the date this was written) there has not been a single update in years. Basic functions no longer work, the data is inaccurate. What a shame..

1 ★It was great while it worked. No updates in years, now no longer even displays fresh info. DarkSky has its own app now, it seems, so they just abandoned this. Makes sense, but we should have been told.

5 ★Great weather app! Best for-pay weather app available on Google Playstore. Best Dark Sky alternative. Free version gives great hourly graph of rain and chance of precipitation. Arcus Weather offers different paid versions for more info/options with full lifetime access - way better than Dark Sky (subscription only).

1 ★App no longer supported. Dark Sky was bought by Apple so instead of using another Weather source, developer is giving up on app. Wish I had not bought this app...
