La Revista Vigía nació el 28 de junio de 1985 con la misión de ser un centinela en el horizonte de la Armada de Chile. Desde entonces, mes a mes, salen de las prensas 22 mil ejemplares, para llevar a cada hombre y mujer de la Institución la visión del ser y el acontecer de la Marina, no sólo manteniéndolos informados, sino que más importante aún, generando vínculos y cohesión en torno a valores y sentimientos comunes, constituyendo, además, un importante lazo con la Familia Naval.Como revista de la Armada, Vigía tiene en todas sus ediciones un equilibrio entre lo operativo y lo humano. Nuestro propósito es siempre mostrar las actividades, operaciones y avances de la institución, manteniendo un balance al momento de relatar los diferentes temas. De esta manera, la línea está siempre dividida entre los hechos y sus implicancias para la comunidad naval y civil, según sea el caso.
