Description

Privacy Friendly Pain Diary can help you track pain. It allows you to make daily diary entries recording your condition and the intensity, location, nature and time of the pain you feel, as well as the medication you take and additional notes. Records of your pain can help health professionals gain an insight into the pain you are experiencing.

The main view of the app is a calendar. A new diary entry can be added and existing diary entries can be viewed by selecting a day in this calendar. Diary entries can be exported to PDF. You have to specify a period of time for which the entries are to be exported. You also have the option to share that PDF.

Privacy Friendly Pain Diary has a daily reminder function. If enabled, it displays a notification reminding you to make a diary entry if you have not made one yet. You can set the time at which you want to be reminded in the settings.

How does Privacy Friendly Pain Diary differ from other similar apps?
1) Minimal permissions
Privacy Friendly Pain Diary requires write access to your device’s storage if you wish to
export your diary entries to PDF. All other features do not require any permissions.

2) Protection of privacy
User data is not recorded, nor sent to any third party. The data you enter is only locally
stored on your device.

3) No advertisements or tracking mechanisms
Privacy Friendly Pain Diary distinguishes itself from many other applications in the way that it does not include any advertisements or tracking mechanisms. Advertisements can shorten battery life or consume mobile data, while tracking mechanisms can compromise privacy.

Privacy Friendly Pain Diary belongs to the group of Privacy Friendly Apps developed by the SECUSO research group at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Privacy Friendly Apps are Android applications which are optimized regarding privacy. Further information can be found here: https://secuso.org/pfa.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★This is one of the best pain apps. My physiotherapist recconends it.. I have one important suggestion. Please add the elbows. Also, separate the shoulders from the chest and back. Akso separate the lower abdomen from the hips and pelvis
4 ★PDF export doesn't work so it's useless for me and my therapy. Other than that great for what it is.
1 ★Impossible to export a PDF or share , so its no use at all .
4 ★It would be awesome if you could add two more features to the app. 1. Possibly to log in for example with a Google account. So, if a user logs in on another device, every record is exactly there. 2. Possibility to add more than one record for each day; with the possibility to add duration of pain with exact clock time. For example from 14:32 to 15:23; the level of pain was 4. Then the user can add more than one record with exact times. Thanks 😊 🤗
5 ★This App is so useful but I wish I could make multiple entries a day for each time I feel pain. My pain is varied throughout the day so the intensity isn't stable all day. Please add multiple entries 🙏
4 ★thought it would be good but unlike other trackers does not allow more than 1 entry per day as things change and only small amount of notes to add. Unfortunately apart from thank you for .I have no idea what reply says
1 ★Pointless! I was under the impression that if you highlighted the area of the body where you felt the pain it could give you some sort of indication of what was causing the pain. All it did was show me the information I entered into it. And that was it! I may as well have written that information down on a bit of paper for the good it did me. Fruitless exercise in uselessness. You could have just have put this information on a website. Why did I have to download it on my phone.
4 ★Good app, one of the only free ones I could find. Would be better if it was made clearer which side of the person was left and right for when you're clicking on the place where you're in pain. I can't figure out which side I should be clicking for my left and right side on the option for the back of the person
1 ★no dark mode is a deal breaker for me
1 ★Exactly what I wanted. Something simple just to track my pain and it's location. Would have been 5 Stars, but the difficulty in selecting the body parts was infuriating!!!
