Batu bacan sudah dikenal sejak tahun 1960an. Batu bacan terdapat di pulau Kasiruta bukan pulau Bacan, karena pusat pemerintahan terdapat di Labuha, pulau Bacan maka batu tersebut dinamai batu bacan. Pada masa itu, jenis batu bacan yang digemari masyarakat adalah warna hati hiu, kembang super dan warna biru.Aplikasi Batu Bacan ini merupakan aplikasi Buku yang berisi kumplulan informasi mengenai batu permata / batu akik khususnya bacan yang diambil dari beberapa sumber yang ada didunia maya.
Aplikasi Buku Pintar ini sangat gampang digunakan, karena memiliki fitur swipe, yaitu fitur dimana kita hanya perlu swipe kekiri ataupun kekanan untuk membaca halaman berikut / halaman sebelumnya.
