O Bike Seguro é um aplicativo de celular para facilitar a comunicação no caso de emergências com bicicletas – como um acidente ou qualquer outro tipo de risco. Trata-se de uma ferramenta de segurança para os ciclistas. Por meio do sistema, o usuário pode criar grupos para incluir os amigos que costumam pedalar juntos; depois, pode definir uma mensagem a ser enviada no caso de emergências, a qual será disparada com um simples clique a todos os integrantes de sua equipe, que serão informados sobre sua localização.Esta é mais uma ferramenta desenvolvida em parceria entre a Secretaria Municipal de Cooperação nos Assuntos de Segurança Pública de Campinas e a IMA (Informática de Municípios Associados).
Além disso, pelo Bike Seguro os ciclistas podem consultar e se cadastrarem em grupos públicos, criados por cicloativistas que costumam realizar eventos com frequência. O sistema oferece ainda mais uma vantagem em termos de segurança: a Guarda Municipal poderá monitorar e reforçar o patrulhamento nesses eventos e também enviar mensagens com dicas de segurança e informações sobre a localização de suas bases de apoio.
Na configuração do sistema, é possível ao usuário personalizar a mensagem de emergência e também desativar o compartilhamento de sua localização (GPS), se assim desejar
