A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).

5 ★Love EM:RAP, solid app experience. My only feedback for improvement at this time is two things. One, I wish the app had an opportunity to send feedback to EM:RAP's team directly, within the app (I'm using google play store to do this....). Two, I wish the app had a function to skip forward or backward 15 seconds on Android Auto. It currently only lets you skip forward one chapter or backward one chapter on the android auto interface. I listen to chapters while commuting. Love it overall!
5 ★If I could ask several leaders in my field about cases that are highly pertinent, commonly encountered, and often difficult I would. EMRAP offers this and so much more. The auto-close glitch can be worked around by dimping your cache as EMRAP fills the available memory. If you practice emergency medicine and enjoy quick&easy or deep&complete patient oriented education, this has both. I have increased my "learning time" 3-4 fold. A pleasure to use. Thanks, EMRAP...What YOU do Matters!
1 ★Em rap is excellent, however this app leaves much to be desired. Frequently stops playing episodes randomly, can't figure out a way to create a playlist so I don't have to fart around with my phone on a long drive. The app for my iPad is also atrocious, doesn't fill the screen almost like it's stuck on the mobile settings, very hard to use while I'm driving
5 ★Love the new update. Being able to listen through Android auto is awesome. Thanks EMRAP! So I have been using the emrap app now for close to a year. Imagine my surprise when I looked and saw that the app was taking up 5.5 gigabytes of memory on my phone. This was because episode I had downloaded to listen to we're not being deleted from the phone after I listen to them. Some method of managing downloaded episodes, and an option to download episodes to an SD card would be helpful.
2 ★App has lots of bugs. These bugs were finally fixed and then a completely new update came out last month and all the bugs returned. Every time I open the app it crashes. The status wheel isn't accurate as it only has Never Watched, Partially Watched (as a half circle), and Fully Watched. So it's hard to know if I barely started or almost finished it. The duration is inaccurate too (i.e. covid 3/25 update says 18 mins long when it's really 1h 18m).
5 ★Great content, bad application. Very unstable and lacks basic organization functions for its content. Needs some serious usability improvements Update 2/10/20 - recent updates seems to have fixed my previous complaints- content is now we'll organized in a drop down menu, no stability issues and much more aestecially pleasing and ergonomic interface - huge improvement!
1 ★My life on frustration with the Android version of this application has reached a peak with it just not working at all for the September edition of EMRAP. When trying to play it, it just freezes. For all sections Update: we're halfway through October and there's no October content. Why is my EMRA membership paying for this?
1 ★EM:RAP educational content is excellent. It is the app that is terrible. Continues to run in background, draining phone battery. Repeatedly pauses during play as if losing data, yet none of my other apps do this. Unusable as an app in car. Will try mobile site instead and update.
2 ★5 star content in a 1 star app. Crashes non-stop since the new update. Currently, I can't even open the app. Would appreciate a search function and the ability to sort by content type similar to their website.
5 ★Love the service. I know the app has been crashing recently. I tried deleting and re-downloading the app. Now it wont download. I had to listen to my own thoughts and singing voice on my way to work. That's scary. Please help.
5 ★Amazing content and user interface is constantly improving. My only minor suggestion would be offering more levels of playback speed modulation. For example, I would usually like 1.25x, but the app only allows for 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 etc.
5 ★Love the info, this is one of my big go-to sources of medical education. I wish the app didn't occasionally stall and lose my place, also the video stream downloads and requires you to clear app data periodically or you will run out of space on your phone.
