Před skončením mandátu prezidenta Miloše Zemana proběhne druhá přímá volba prezidenta České republiky.Volbu vyhlásil předseda Senátu na 12. a 13. ledna 2018.
Případné druhé kolo volby připadá na 26. a 27. ledna 2018. Kandidátní listiny mohly být podávány nejpozději do 7. listopadu 2017, devět prezidentských kandidátů bylo poté potvrzeno Ministerstvem vnitra 24. listopadu.
Prezident se v Česku volí přímo na základě zákona z října 2012.
