This Mobile App is a medical calculator that indicates the probability that a man who engages in weight training has muscle dysmorphia.To calculate this probability we need to know the following information about the subject: age (years), body mass index (kg/m2), intake of energy supplements (yes/no) and guilt about lack of adherence to diet (yes/no).
For this calculation, the app will calculate a score based on the risk represented by the above parameters. A subject will have an increased risk of muscle dysmorphia if he is younger, has a higher body mass index, consumes energy supplements, and feels guilty about not following an established diet. Based on the score obtained, the subject will be classified in a risk group and that group will have an associated probability of having muscle dysmorphia.
If the subject is in the high or very high risk group, he should see a specialist. Alternatively, if he has low or medium risk, he should be monitored.
