Description

K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research is proud to announce ICON 2K18, a two-day technical event, to be held on 1st and 2nd Feb, 2018. This will be the 11th edition of the esteemed and anticipated event. Every year we choose a technology based happening theme, last year our theme was AI and VR.





Based on the theme we build up something called as 'Gallery', which is like an exhibit, where there are displays based on the theme. Last year, we were graced by Miko companion robot [ more info here ] based on AI and neural network based decision making, our students developed a automatic line-following robotic car, there was an exhibit for brain controlled helicopter from Puzlebox [ more info here ] and many such events.





This year our theme is Marvel Vs DC (Technical Aspects).

The fest comprises of crowd pulling events ranging from sports to e-sports, and of course programming based events, also non-technical events like Virtual Stock Market, Film Making, Mock CID etc.



Last we had a foot fall of over 5000, students from various colleges across Mumbai attended the event, there were over 1000 children from nearby schools who got to see the exhibits and learn about AI.
