Description
This app is now unsupported and exists to work on older android devices (Androiod OS 7 and earlier) with the legacy google cardboard headsets (Google cardboard one) which use a ring magnet. We have an updated version available on this site if you have problems running this application on your device. Newer version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ac.bcu.ophthalmology&hl=enThis VR app has been developed and validated in clinical teaching settings in order to help medical students and doctors learn the systematic processes used when performing eye examinations. The full version comprises five ‘levels’. This demo version covers tutorial, retinal and a pathology.
Tutorial level – learning to use the app.
Red reflex level – how to correctly orienting the app view the retina.
Retinal navigation – how to correctly navigate landmarks of the back of the eye.
Pathologies - Audio visual narrations on common pathologies of the eye.
Quiz - Use skills previously learnt to correctly identify pathologies or normal eyes.
This software has been tested to be compatible with Android versions 7.0 and below, therefore users may experience issues if running on newer devices.
