Subway Time for Android is the only app that provides real time train arrival and departure information in an easy to understand and intuitive way.
open the app and with no clicks you can see the stations nearest to you and which trains are coming when!

Note that the is still in early BETA and WILL HAVE BUGS.

MTA Subway Time gives you real-time train arrival information for selected routes of the New York City subway system. Knowing exactly when your train will arrive will reduce the time you spend waiting on the subway platform, and let you know of any service delays or reroutes before you pay your fare.

3 ★It only shows station in area and not always all of them. 3 stars for time accuracy

2 ★This app has mostly positive reviews, so it looks like it works for many people. In my case, it was far less reliable. It would list subway stations that were nowhere close to me and miss the ones that were a block away - sometimes if you use it in one borough then move to another one, it will keep listing the old stations no matter how many times you refresh it. Even when it got the right borough, the stations weren't always listed by distance. Also, if you lose data/wifi connection for a moment, it will make you exit the app. It doesn't let you retry when it comes back, which is annoying when you drop connection for a second after turning your screen off. The times themselves are fine, but I can't recommend this beta version.

1 ★It finds the nearby stations and train lines, but doesn't display the times of approaching trains. Refreshing the app or switching to the prior version doesn't help. HTC 10, running Android 6.0

3 ★Why must this be so hard? For GPS clocks are great but that tech is only available on what, 5 lines?

5 ★This is an excellent app that does exactly what it claims. It gives you up to the minute subway arrival times for the lines that currently have this service. I use it for the 1-2-3 line all the time & it works wonderfully.

2 ★This app only provides information for two out of 20 subway lines in New York City. it will only help you if you are going to Times Square if your destination is anywhere else it will completely ignore you .if you live in another neighborhood outside of Time Square it will ignore you. it is only for one type of person, tourist who doesn't know where they're going and doesn't care where they're going as long as it ends up in Times Square

4 ★Love this app! Use it all the time! Lifesaver! It does what it says in a very simple way and doesn't try to overdeliver. BUT it needs urgent update! A,C and Q,R,W lines have official MTA real-time (inside the stations) arrival times now so PLEASE update this app asap to show these lines too.

1 ★Doesn't have the only two trains that I use, the Q and the B. But that is not why I am giving a low rating. I am giving a low rating because you should have listed the supported and unsupported trains in the description, so that I could see that before I wasted my time downloading the app. Also, it did not mention that most of the functionality of the app relies on gathering location data.

1 ★Unwieldy, poor UI/UX, and difficult to find information fast. Needs major fixes before being something useful.

5 ★This app works perfectly on my RAZR MAXX. It does exactly what it's supposed to do - give the subway arrival and departure times, and the UI is very clean and easy to read.

4 ★What about the L train? I mean they had a co u ntdown timers (MOST accurate on to be frank) for way before these other lines, so it makes no sense that the L line isnt inuded

2 ★Can't even find the app. I can only access it when I search for it in the Play Store. Please fix it! I like this app, but what's the point of having it if I can't even access it correctly?
