Download Ecosia: Browse to plant trees. APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
- Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files

Q: What is an APK File?
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

5 ★Just downloaded Ecosia after a recommendation from a friend - we have challenged each other to make one improvement a week to our "carbon footprint" & like it so far on mobile, although it is slower than I'm used to. Will try it on desktop shortly, and see how it does importing passwords etc from Chrome - if it works, I will switch to it at work too - that's bound to have a much more significant impact. Dark mode is great, like the privacy settings (I generally use DuckDuckGo or Firefox Focus)
5 ★I love how this app is helping plant trees , I also like how they tell you how many searches you've done, around how many searches you need to plant a tree and all that stuff, it's very helpful!!
5 ★Basically my understanding is that the app is a version of Chromium so it operates with the speed and efficiency of Chrome. Instead of the default Search Engine being Google it uses Ecosia. Searches create revenue and Ecosia use this revenue to plant trees! Worthy cause I'm willing to back. Ecosia's search results are powered by Microsoft so you still get great results on your search criteria. Worth a go people, especially if your just using Chrome anyhow, may as well be part of planting trees.
5 ★It's great this is amazingly environmental, so useful and easy , I love it and I love how there's a sense of community. Planting trees while doing something you do all the time... You're saving earth while doing nothing
5 ★Absolutely wonderful app. Love the tree planting initiative and privacy. Will be testing whether this engine is unbiased or not and will report back. Reporting back: This search engine seems to be unbiased on most controversial topics but the really hot topics surrounding our current state of affairs are somewhat biased but other viewpoints are there is you look. All in all very good engine and app.
5 ★Good app, easy to use but not as "instant" as google. It would be great if a dictionary was added (like google has) so you could search "define x" and it would just pop up. Overall, worth using if you have the time to!
4 ★OVERALL it's a great app I love it sm. I love that I can help the planet while looking up random things. it is a little slower than other browsers but honestly I don't mind. and I wish there was a dark mode to fit my phone!!! but other than that it works great I love it.
4 ★Since the Google app had been lagging for me and shutting me out of it by suddenly closing itself WHILE I'M BROWSING, i thought this is a pretty good alternative since it helps the environment, and who would mind some good old trees✋🏼😀 i put 4 stars because i haven't used it yet but i know it's good hahah
2 ★I'm giving 4 star because it works for plantation but sometimes it irritats when network is probably slow, it stops workingg, screen goes black and it takes a while to get normal and sometimes I need to open the browser again and search another time. However its browsing speed is very good. And keep doing this global work of plantation, I really appreciate it. I recommend others to use it too. 👍👍🌷🌷❤️❤️
4 ★Great browser, just wish it had an option to delete your browsing history when you close the app; otherwise, this would be a 5 star browser
4 ★Does everything I need it to, and finally my time lost browsing is benefitting someone atleast. ONLY ISSUE is the lack of any options to backup bookmarks made in the mobile app - such as the option Chrome has of exporting bookmarks as an html-file.
4 ★It's good, but tapping on an image lowers the quality by a lot preventing me from seeing them up close. It's quite annoying, I hope they fix it soon. Other than that, I like this browser.
