Surah Yasin atau Surah Ya Sin adalah surah ke-36 dalam al-Qur'an. Surah ini terdiri atas 83 ayat, serta termasuk golongan surah-surah Makkiyah. Dinamai Ya Sin karena surah ini dimulai dengan dua abjad Arab Ya Sin. Sebagaimana halnya arti tersembunyi huruf-huruf abjad Alif Lam Mim atau Nun yang terletak pada permulaan beberapa surah Al-Quran, maka demikian pula arti Ya Sin yang termasuk dalam kategori ayat mutasyaabihat.Berikut Keutamaan Surah Yasiin (Yaseen):
1. "Segala sesuatu mempunyai jantung (hati), sedang jantung Al-Qur'an adalah surah Yasin, dan siapa saja yang membaca surah Yasin Allah swt. mencatat bacaannya seperti bacaan Al-Qur'an sepuluh kali"

2. "Siapa membaca surah Yasin setiap malam ia diampuni"

3. "Siapa membaca surah Yasin di waktu malam, maka di waktu shubuh ia menjadi orang yang mendapatkan ampunan"

4. "Siapa saja membaca surah Yasin untuk mencari ridha Allah swt., maka Allah swt. mengampuni dosa-dosanya yang telah lalu, maka bacalah itu oleh kalian di sisi orang-orang mati kalian"
