Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

4 ★App works fine. But the charging station no longer responds to the app or the network. It charges the car fine, but the app is pointless when the charger stops responding. Update: support was able to get me back and running, so I'm upping the rating. I only wish now that it gave a monthly reading so I could estimate my charging costs.
1 ★App has become terrible since being purchased. It is now not obeying my time of use settings and won't stop charging even though it's before my charging window has started. Also, it is no longer stopping at the maximum charge limit - it will just continue to raise the limit and charge paste it. Disappointing, since while the app has always been weird with poor UX, it did work.
2 ★I could not get the app to connect to the WiFi. Used a Windows tablet and it worked instantly. After my Juicebox Pro 40 was connected to the network the app had no trouble finding it. App works well but has a few features that are not intuitive. updated 7/16. in addition to the absolutely terrible color scheme I also miss the EV news feed.
4 ★Buggy product. Version 2.1.338 I can no longer charge at cheap rates because I cannot reset the TOU times. Well, I can set the times, but they just switch back to some other times. It used to work! 31 Aug 2020 Dev - Thanks for response. I've been using for 9 months now. Bug has been fixed. Generally working fine. Something new - if car is plugged in early (before tou), it has one (sometimes two) bouts of charging for 30sec ish, charging ~1kw. It's shown in the history graph. No big deal
1 ★Updates to allow original color scheme promised 2 months ago...still nothing... C'mon guys, this should be an extremely easy fix for a common compliant for the last 3 months. It's really a minor thing, but it's a major annoyance when I look at it several times a day... if you can't bring back the original color scheme because of enl corp policy, give the end user the ability to select individual colors or at the very least monochromatic and inverse options...
2 ★I want to like this app but it's legitimately terrible and dysfunctional compared to whatever version was live ~July 2018. Ever since eMotorWerks branding was replaced with Enel, I can't even charge my two cars correctly. My status usually toggles between a misrepresented fully charged state, "Waiting for TOU", "Plugged in", or stuck on "Overriding schedule". How about actually charging the damn vehicle on schedule? Setting TOU 1+ hrs from curr time SOMETIMES works. Hacks needed, still broken.
3 ★Edited due to fast response from support team who helped resolve the issue - 1 star to 3: Outlander PHEV 2019 not charging despite being set to "charge now". Side note:the Outlander PHEV 2019 isn't even a choice to be selected as "my vehicle" so we're forced to pick the 2018 model which has a lower electric range (35km vs 45km). I keep getting "it appears your vehicle is fully charged" when it is not. We just installed it and 1/3 times it worked. - UI not friendly at all.
2 ★[Edited after eMotorWerks reply:] While swiping sideways to change charging screens, I inadvertently moved the little arrows on the second screen ... [ Edit - Thanks for the popup to prevent inadvertently limiting charging. ] And there is no help function for the app. The Help in the settings is only for charging hardware. [Edit - The Help function goes to a page that says nothing about the app, just the charging hardware. There are no app instructions and nothing to indicate that a ticket can be submitted about the app.]
3 ★Since getting a new juicebox, the "permanently set max charge to xx%" does not work. Or rather, it works once, and then the next time I plug in it changes the max charge % to some other random percentage. This has left me with an undercharged car on multiple occasions. It a pain to have to remember to set/check this every time I plug in. Would prefer to have no max limit than a customizable limit that doesn't stay put.
3 ★The fails to maintain my target charge percentage even though it asks if I want to make my setting permanent. Annoyingly, I am thus forced to renter this value for every charge. ALSO, some provision should be made for vehicle-to-charger communication so that the charger could be made more directly and accurately aware of the the car's state. Bluetooth pairing or technology sharing and partnering arrangement with GM/OnStar might work in the case of my 2020 Chevy Bolt.
1 ★This is the email I sent to efi, the vendor who sold me the product: I am writing to arrange a return and refund on the above captioned product. Since you will undoubtedly be curious as to why, it is all about the app which is very troublesome. It took me half an hour to create a login and set it up on my WiFi (note, I am no stranger to that process). Then I spent another half an hour reading reviews of the app which were largely negative. Quite honestly, I got bored after reading so many reviews, and there were tons more to go. One person said the unit left him without a meaningful charge 3 times. This is my first electric vehicle and I depend on it. The Juice Box does nothing without the app, and with the sorry state of the app I don't trust it. Please read the reviews. Don't always ask customers to troubleshoot and report, and otherwise participate in the solution. This expensive box shouldn't be beta quality.
1 ★Can't connect my device to the wifi. I followed every single guide and this app just doesn't work. Very frustrating app and on top of that there is no customer service to contact just a forum page that takes ages for them to respond. I'm about to return it and buy something else that works. Hopefully a negative review will make them reach out to me.
