Geburtstag von Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714–1788) zeigt das MKG Musikinstrumente aus der Epoche des Spätbarock und der Empfindsamkeit. „Aus der Seele muß man spielen, und nicht wie ein abgerichteter Vogel“, so beschreibt Bach in seinem berühmten „Versuch über die wahre Art das Clavier zu spielen“ das Musikverständnis seiner Epoche. Ausgestellt sind rund 25 Meisterwerke des Instrumentenbaus, darunter reich dekorierte Streich- und Zupfinstrumente aus der Werkstatt Joachim Tielkes sowie Hamburger Clavichorde und Cembali der Werkstätten Hass und Zell. Diese Instrumente werden in dieser aufwendigen App zum erklingen gebracht und durch zahlreiche Detailaufnahmen präsentiert.
