4 ★The app has updated a few times and is now much better. I can see real time air quality and settings for the purifier. At this point I just wish the schedule function would let you set fan speed. **update** The app has updated again and sure enough fan speed is now adjustable in scheduling. The app went from virtually useless to working very well.
3 ★Never mind the non-sequiturial name of this app, it controls Coway's networked air purifiers all the same. Following the advice of another app user, I *explicitly* connected my phone to my air purifier's own wifi instead of letting this app switch between wifis, and everything worked perfectly. The app allows to effectively remote control and program the 300s/400s purifiers. What more could you want? Except, it claims my outdoor air quality is "good" solely because the O3 levels are low, never mind the horrendous PM2.5 levels. Meh.
3 ★Doesnt work at all after upgrade. Previous version only partially worked, but never showed air quality data. But now, nothing! Can't even sync with wifi in any way. AWFUL! UPDATE: tried again after a few days, several attempts, now seems to work as advertise with all promised functions.
1 ★Worst app ever! Once they fixed the content update that never finished I finally could use the app. It still crashes and it just painful. The scheduler doesn't let you edit or delete. You can only turn off the current schedule and add a new one. Bring back the old app!!!!
1 ★During install this app asks for permission to make and manage phone calls and it needs access to photos, etc. or it won't load. There's no need for all these permissions. Also, it appears that it only connects to wifi if you temporarily change router settings to allow only 2.4GHz during setup/installation. Once installed and working you should be able to return your router to the normal setting of 2.4/5 auto, but this is a time consuming pain and I wish I bought the cheaper model w/o WiFi.
1 ★I have spent several hours over the past few months trying to get this app working with no success! It says I'm not hooked up to a wireless network, and I know that is not true. I can't even get in to see the capacities the app offers. I love the air purifier, but the extra money spent on the smart model was a complete waste.
1 ★Difficult setup and didn't work after... After 5 attempts and several different variations (not explained by the app or manual), I connected my phone to the air purifier (and ultimately the internet, unnecessary for a manual device, except to feed information). As soon as the internet/app/device connection was complete, I got an error that other users mentioned - Dev to API error. Restarting the app didn't help. I stopped the internet connection and tried to restart, but had the same problems
1 ★This app needs much more testing before being put into the market. Half the sign on options do not work. It logs you out randomly after just a few minutes. It also crashes frequently on the latest version of Android. The purifier is a great product but clearly application design is not in Coway's wheelhouse.
3 ★I was lucky that i saw the key to getting this app to work while scrolling through the review (put the phone in airplane mode before connecting to wifi!!). Otherwise, the app is so-so, kind of slow. Nothing to write home about.
2 ★Terrible. Canadian customers beware, only supported region seems to be US and Korea. Doesnt actually show breakdown of polutants measured by the 400s or outside air quality. Tried to set a region in US closest to border but even that is showing no data and now cannot be removed. Not impressed at all with this broken app.
1 ★Refuses to run on Android 11 Beta for no good reason! Setup required fiddling with WiFi by hand. Requires Phone, Storage, and Location permissions for no reason! Editing or removing a schedule is unintuitive. App is built with some janky framework that "updates" the app when you open it instead of using the Play Store. Just another crummy IoT app. :(
4 ★I HAD PROBLEMS CONNECTING but then? I saw a user review that spoke with customer support and did the following: Force Stop App -> Clear App Cache -> Turn off wireless Data -> Re-Open app and Try again it worked instantly. Im on a google Pixel 2 with a Google Wifi Router (2.4 and 5ghz combined on same network name). Im happy now!
