The official Zyp BikeShare App is your ultimate tool to ‘zyp’ around Birmingham. You can check bike availability at each station as well as your profile and previous routes. You can even unlock a bike!

Simple to use, with cutting-edge features, the official Zyp BikeShare App is all you need to get the best out of your Zyp bike.

System Live Map: Access a live station map complete with bike availability, which will allow you to look for the bike or dock closest to your location. You can also keep track of your favorite stations.

Unlock a bike: Don’t have your membership card? No problem. Use the official Zyp BikeShare App to unlock the bike. Login on your Zyp App and input the number of the bike you want to use. Easy as 1,2,3 and you’ll be ‘zypping’ from A to B in no time.

Keep track of time to avoid extra fees: Start the timer and get an alert before you need to dock.
Your Zyp profile: Check the routes of your previous rides. Know how far and how long you traveled and much more.

3 ★the registration in the application will not continue without buying a years subscription, so now my email and account info is in limbo because I have no intention of buying a years subscription. the application does not explain what the card symbol is. the application cannot describe which bikes are electric vs not, cannot unlock bikes, and cannot submit a repair ticket for broken bikes. great concept, just needs updating. we LOVED THE RIDE on the electric zips, that's a blast !

1 ★Useless. Doesn't show stations in Birmingham, UK

1 ★App doesn't explain which locations with a card mean, doesn't notify if a station is done (only if empty), and doesn't explain motorized or non information. Basically useless. Finally, charged my card 3 times when was unable to print out a card for me to use.

2 ★1. In the app there is no signifier for how many electric bikes vs standard bikes there are at each location. (this becomes a huge issue when looking for an electric bike) 2. Inventory is often incorrect anyhow. 3. Have more electric bikes..Period. This is why people use Zyp to start with. 4. Street kiosks crash & cannot be remotely restarted 24hrs / day (not hard to implement for the post hours operator)

1 ★The app is designed well however some features don't work well. For instance, I can't unlock the bike with this app. It is able to locate the station where the bike is but when I slide to unlock it says "Bike cannot be found" or something like that. EDIT: The station name issue has been fixed. Being able to click on a point on station on map and get all information on it is quite helpful.

1 ★App would be fine if I could unlock bikes. This is really annoying as a first time user because you don't have your key yet. If you leave your key at home or something you just can't use this service. I love that these bikes are here, but this review is about the app. I don't know why it's getting 4 and 5 stars.

4 ★I will change this to a 5 when the app works better... I almost had to walk home from Lakeview today because only 1 bike in the entire 10 bike rack would unlock.

5 ★Birmingham has needed something like this! They have worked really hard on this and I'm proud to see it happen.

1 ★Absolutely useless. The app does NOT let you unlock bikes, despite a signsaying exactly the opposite at the kiosk. This is not stated anywhere priorto purchase of a pass. Moreover, a 1 day pass, after they mail you a card?,allows you to use a bike for only 45 mins without additional charges. Afterthat, 45 min to 1.15 is $2 more, than $4 for every 30 mins afterwards witha max daily charge of $74. Comical. Attempting to get a refund for my passright now. Deliberately misleading.
