Description

*Please note*: Aerial Dream streams videos constantly and will consume large amounts of bandwidth. Do not install on devices with limited network connectivity.

A screensaver for Android devices inspired on Apple TV's video screensaver.

Currently the displayed videos are the exact same used by Apple TV.
Though the videos are relatively small (below 200MB), it's still recommended that you have an appropriate internet plan so that you do not incur in extra costs. Most home or WiFi connections should be ok, while mobile data could be a problem.

The videos are hosted by Apple Inc. openly and without any sort of encryption or other form of protection, therefore this use is assumed to be legitimate.
If you have reason to believe otherwise please let me know.

In short: if you work for Apple please contact me before releasing the Kraken.

How to set Aerial Dream as your screensaver:
- Go into the System Preferences
- Select Display
- Select Daydream
- Select Aerial Dream

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★the app is awesome. however you guys should build a functionality to let users restrict app when on mobile data. Otherwise even accidental app usage when in mobile data can eat up your months data plan in a matter of minutes.
2 ★I was really excited about this and after finding just the right combination of setting to get the test to work on my Sony Bravia 900xf it loads 2 screen savers and somewhere in the second screen saver it freezes....
2 ★nice idea..works for 40 secs then always freezes. tried all sorts of different settings, nincluding setting it to 'no cache' as well..as recommended by many. This is on a Nvidia Shield TV 16gb.
3 ★Where's the HDR support? These stream beautifully on my Nvidia Shield but, unlike on an Apple TV, they are not playing back in HDR. Is there a technical reason you can't enable HDR playback?
1 ★Bring back video caching. Constant data stream is about .5mb / second. This caused over 1tb in downloads last month. This is unsustainable and unnecessary.
3 ★Would be great on my android tv but keeps crashing when switching to a second video. Sometimes it simply gets stuck on loading aerial. Real shame would've paid a few bucks for a nice working version.
1 ★Doesn't work for me. Tried all the permutation and combinations. It doesnt work on my TV (Sony A8F)
2 ★I would love to have this but on my Sony Bravia it just doesn't load and if i use the "Test Settings" it freezes after about 30 seconds :(
1 ★Loved this app on my Sony Android TV until the latest update broke it. It now no longer works. Fix it and I'll give 5 stars again.
2 ★Majority of videos fail to load on my Sony kd-65A1. Gets stuck on "loading aerial". Only ones that work are the 1080p 2017 videos.
5 ★Great execution, works flawlessly and you've to be warned, it takes space from your desk to download and play those beautiful videos
1 ★Tested this out on a sony bravia and it is just stuck at "loading Ariel".. does not work. And yes, my internet works.
