Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Ok, I wasn't aware you did that. However, is this per device in my home or can I use the app unlock (This is all I want) for all my devices? Wife's phone, dining room TV etc? If so yes that's good, if I have to purchase for each device, I'll stick with VLC.
4 ★Emby is by far the best media server I've used and will continue to use, server works well on both on Linux mint and windows, web client, app and tv work well, how ever on andriod 4, client app has a problem when clicking a movie , takes forever to load information and no play button shows, feature I'd like to see on server is the ability to specify data limit per user, downloads limits for certain accounts and remove download option on certain file's. Also website theme like YouTube.
1 ★Great app but when playing media back it asks you to buy the app unlock which I'm happy to do, but the payment option either disappears or says that you don't have a card or bank account setup in Google pay even when you do!!!!!!!!!!?
1 ★It's ok, I do like jellyfin a little better due to not having to pay
1 ★I am not able to activatr it on my android divice desoite having paid for it.. It keeps asking me to buy premium
3 ★A decent media player, and if you only want to play movies, then it is fine, but if you ever want to fix any of the errors it makes in identifying films, then look elsewhere. On my high (ish) res 10" tablet I get a full 1.5cm to see what I'm typing and even then the UI insists on scrolling the input field until it is out of view so I have guess what I'm typing. And all the overdone on-screen furniture wastes space too. Forget my using my 7" tablet! Not everyone has a 32" 4K screen available.
4 ★Ok so let me put this straight emby android app is by far the best media server app it can freaking play eac3 or any other codec throw at it whereas other apps like plex or jellyfin can't play this codecs I literally liked the Netflix like episode structure and player this is beautiful, only thing is missing is that there's no option to change seasons if you are in some particular season and can't select episodes in players like Netflix this complains are minute. Make the windows app free pls
1 ★Quite possibly one of the worst apps I used. I set up my server on Nvidia hoping to replace Plex but it never worked! I know my way around things like that but I couldn't even get the app on my Nvidia to recognize the server on the same Nvidia player.. Could not connect my phone to it either very confusing set up! Also, u should provide at least 3 days free try for premium service to see if i like it before paying for it. Back to Plex!
4 ★Used to work fine now I get the "this Emby server needs to be updated" every time I try to connect. My server is running the latest version already (4.2.1.0) and I can easily connect via chrome. Edit: apparently 4.2.1.0 is only the latest version available on freenas and so I'll have to update manually. Unfortunate but I'm guessing this is a freenas issue not an Emby one.
2 ★They added fees for many things. Check out Jellyfin, which is what this was supposed to be when they forked Plex.
5 ★Moved back to Emby recently and purchased Premiere. Really great! The web works well, but there's not parity between experiences in the client app on every platform. Media support varies by device, so be sure to research for your purchases if you intend to use them with Emby.
1 ★I really like Emby and this app as well, but I have a problem (using Android 8.1.0). When I play an episode of a tv series with a theme song by casting it on a (for example) chromecast, the theme song doesn't stop!! It's quite annoying and I think it isn't supposed to happen. Obviously I disabled the function from the menu. That said, the app is really well done, thank you!
