Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Note that it does require good internet access, like all access to internet resources, but I love it!
1 ★Trinity Washington University isn't listed
4 ★I would like to be able to filter updates of journals by keywords. For example I would only get an update from a certain journal if a paper from that volume hits a certain keyword.
4 ★Love the app. Would like to see a journal article "grey out" if its been viewed before. Or somehow change in appearance when it's updated.
3 ★I greatly like the convenience of browsing through my favourite journals in the bookshelf. An additional feature which will make it to 5 stars, is the ability to read abstracts of articles without having to download the whole article. Please consider this function
5 ★The app does a great job of making the online features of BrowZine available in a portable Android app. Also, the support team is phenomenal! They helped work through a bug that I found and released a patch as soon as they had fixed the bug. Great job support team!!
1 ★Always crash when pick an economics journal.
4 ★Much improved! But it would still be nice to have syncing of bookshelves across devices.
1 ★Recently, whenever trying to open an article the app quits. Deleting.
3 ★Great app to browse journals *but* the Help documentation on syncing an account across devices doesn't reflect the Settings in the app.
2 ★Initially I thought "this is a great service that Georgia Tech is providing me" but that changed very quickly. Reading experience is infuriating in this app: doesn't zoom properly, pages flow, the UI elements do unexpected things, etc. Also, let's say I want to print or share an article, I need to go to the overflow and select "Open In". What? There's enough space to have dedicated share on Facebook, Twitter, but not a real Android share option? Interactions destroy an app with a great technical back end.
1 ★Works fine, but pretty useless for learning about journals. This app needs to link researchers to a journal's page or give us some information about the journal other than its title. Most of us who read articles also publish, so it helps to learn about a journal that way. I can use a shortcut to my library's home page to get article links, so although it's a good app for collecting favorite journals, it's really nothing more.
