Assalamualaikum Wr WbSurah Yasin termasuk surah Makkiyah yang agung, terdiri dari 83 ayat, surah dengan nomor urut 36 dalam Al-Qur’an. Ayat-ayatnya pendek dan sangat mengena di hati orang beriman. Pembahasan utama adalah seperti pembahasan surah-surah Makkiyah umumnya, yaitu berbicara tentang tauhid uluhiyah, tauhid rububiyah dan akibat orang-orang yang mendustakannya. Problematika yang menjadi pokok utama dalam surah ini adalah masalah kebangkitan dan hari kiamat.
Dari Anas bin Malik radhiyallahu ‘anhu, ia berkata bahwa Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,
إِنَّ لِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَلْبًا وَقَلْبُ الْقُرْآنِ يس َمَنْ قَرَأَ يس كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِقِرَاءَتِهَا قِرَاءَةَ الْقُرْآنِ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ
“Segala sesuatu memiliki jantung. Jantungnya Al-Qur’an adalah surah Yasin. Siapa yang membaca surah Yasin, maka Allah akan mencatat baginya seperti membaca Al-Qur’an sepuluh kali.” (HR. Tirmidzi, no. 2887)
