Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Just love this one. Great on Android 4.4.2
5 ★Simple working, nice app!
5 ★Beautiful. Power. Simple.
5 ★exactly what i wanted
5 ★I Love this App!
5 ★Really useful for ROM or kernel development, if you want to see what is going on behind the scenes!
5 ★good job!!
2 ★Tried on Nexus 5p. Given it all the permissions. Created example configs however when you load one to create a widget it just displays a bunch of JAVA errors.
1 ★I'd love to have this function, but it just won't work on my device. When I put the widget and go to select a config file, it won't open the file. It won't even open the example files provided by the dev. All I get is a gray widget inviting me to tap to reload, and tapping the widget accomplished nothing.
4 ★This looks reasonably powerful and useful, and I'm doing background reading now. But it needs a config file and does not ship with one. It expects you to write one, upload it to your device, and select it when you first run CLW. I emailed the developer suggesting a sample config file as a starting point so the user can see something when the widget is placed on a page would be a good idea. He stated he'll probably do that in the next release, but that won't happen for a bit. UPDATE: v3.0 has added example files for defining the widget. To use them, place the CLW widget on a page and tap it. It will show a Choose file dialog page. Select Use example file, then swipe left to pick the sample you want to use. Tap the name on the top bar to select which to use for the emplaced widget. The examples files are text files placed in /storage/emulated/0/CLW-examples. If you have a text editor installed, you can look at them and use them as a starting point for customizing. I added a star for providing example config files. See the CLW github page for documentation on what the files contain and what a CLW widget config file should look like.
