Description

The long-awaited PlateTracker is finally here. Quickly and easily track not only calories but also quantities of each food group so you can be sure you are getting a balanced diet on the go. See a list of what you eat each day along with quick-glance charts that compare actual consumption to your custom MyPlate food plan. It's easy to see, for instance, when you need to eat more vegetables and fewer empty calories.

There is so much more to healthy eating than just counting calories. Everyone knows that fruits and vegetables are much healthier than candies and sodas, yet calories alone do not capture that difference. MyPlate Tracker is about helping you achieve your goals of a healthier lifestyle by tracking what you eat, not just how much. Our methods are not backed by our own ideas, but by years of research that goes into the Dietary Guidelines for Americans published by the USDA.

This app gives users the ability to lookup their customize MyPlate food plan and provides basic information to help determine which foods belong to which group and equivalency tables. Users can enter their age, gender and physical activity level to quickly see the recommendations of Americas top nutritionists. The Daily Food Plan allows you to see how much of each food group you should be eating each day for a healthy, balanced diet.

The 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, form the basis of the federal government’s nutrition education programs, federal nutrition assistance programs, and dietary advice provided by health and nutrition professionals. The Guidelines messages include:

Balance Calories
• Enjoy your food, but eat less.
• Avoid oversized portions.

Foods to Increase
• Make half your plate fruits and vegetables.
• Switch to fat-free or low-fat (1%) milk.
• Make at least half your grains whole grains

Foods to Reduce
• Compare sodium (salt) in foods like soup, bread, and frozen meals, and choose foods with lower numbers.
• Drink water instead of sugary drinks.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★I like the idea, but it says to eat 3 cups of Dairy, when Dairy isn't even all that great for you, I understand a lil of it for vitamin C and what not, what I don't understand is why it says you need to eat 2 ounces of processed cheese?? Um...why? Processed cheese is HORRIBLE for you! It can actually cause harm to your body, I think you guys mean that we should be eating is cottage cheese, gotta, ricotta, etc.
2 ★Why do I have to know all the nutritional information on the app? The website is fantastic, I can search for my food and it has everything, why is this not an extension of that. I'm deleted this, what a waste.
2 ★The app doesn't have the same features as its web version supertracker. There is no login into my account which would've made everything easier to track by linking the app with the web account. It also doesn't have a food list data that would enable it to calculate the calories intake etc.
1 ★Not user friendly, the website is much more efficient and user friendly. It doesn't connect to your website account. Wanted it for ease of convenience and not have to use the website. Doesn't give you other of food options.
2 ★S health app is better it can track my Valerie count just by picking the food I used. This app you have to figure out for yourself and input it. In s health I can type a general word and it list different markets and brands that food has and calories..too much work here. .need to update..might download once that happens
1 ★You can set up the amounts you need, but the daily food input doesn't work at all. No matter what I type, it just goes to a white screen.
2 ★Calorie amount is ridiculously high. Also, there is no drop down list for foods and we have to input the nutritional information ourselves. There is no ease of use for this app and there is no benefit of the "on the go" use that the app advertises.
4 ★I am exclusively breastfeeding my 1-month old and wanted a quick way to keep tabs on my eating. This app works great for tracking food groups. I'm not too worried about exact calories, just want an idea of what I've already eaten today so I can balance my meals. It's quick and simple - perfect for me right now.
5 ★It has so m a many options and let's you choose all the things you ate at school
2 ★My dietitian recommends 2100 calories- and the app does not let me adjust it- I lie about my weight etc to get the app to 2100 but I want to be able to choose.
1 ★I had waited forever for the websites supertracker to have an app. How disappointing! I need to adjust the daily calories allowed so I can LOSE weight. I have created dozens of "meals" on supertracker tediously inputting every ingredient for dinners I make often. All of that is inaccessible on the app. I can't create new "meals" with the app. I can't even put in that I had a tuna sandwich for lunch and have the app record the data for that food. Everything this app does, I can do with a calculator.
1 ★Not the same as online. Unable to sync with online .gov tracker
