The aim of Kilimo Mkononi app is:
i. To Link farmers and non-farmers with the finance industry, insurance industry, buyers (importer and exporter), processors, research institutions and inputs suppliers;
ii. To facilitate exchange of information and knowledge among farmers so as to achieve sustainable agriculture development;
iii. To ensure the proper functioning of food commodity markets and their derivatives, and facilitate timely access to market information, including on food reserves, in order to help limit extreme food price volatility; and
iv. To double the agricultural productivity and the incomes of small-scale food producers, through secure and access productive resources and inputs, knowledge, financial services, markets, and opportunities for value addition and non-farm employment.
