1 ★The system, in general, does not work properly, is not catching any events and the picture is solid black for days and we live on a moderately busy street. We have 2 camera's one will catch a min North and nothing South. When they do work, the app is hard to upload. Only positive is that the picture quality is great. I would suggest an alert that clarifies people movement vs. Auto.
1 ★The first couple of weeks this app worked like a charm with my Amcrest camera. Now I open it and it says "No Events" and doesn't go off or save footage when there is motion anymore. It's basically worthless to me now. I've tried troubleshooting and everything. And it just isn't working now. Very disappointed.
3 ★Takes forever for video to load, and then fails sometimes. When it works, I'm grateful for the free storage. EDIT: I haven't been getting push notifications for a couple months now, and I haven't been able to figure out why. I made sure every setting is enabled and I'm still not getting anything. Edit 2: I reinstalled it and I now receive notifications again. Still wish it were faster to load videos but I'm putting my rating back to what it was.
2 ★usable but both live video and play back frequently went blank for no reason, restarting app is one of options to bring back normal but don't last too long. Needs improvement on area detection, it can't resize the region on Android app. New status: after getting a new update, version 3.1.4.5, it totally stopped working even rebooted cable modem, repowered up the camera, then reopened the app, no clues what went wrong, going to contact the app support....
4 ★Convenient, easy to use monitoring for my camera. Need to pay up for multiple cameras or storage retention. Significant disappointment is that it sometimes will not show video and produces an error even though it indicates there is a connection with the camera. Inevitably this happens when I need it most but thankfully recovers eventually.
1 ★motion playback isn't working for me. I press play and all I get is a black screen. only able to add 1 camera on a free plan which shows me if I want the updated app for my nice cameras I have to pay monthly for it.. Don't waste your time with amcrest.. get Zmodo or Reolink instead.. cheaper and much better features for free that actually work. very upsetting......
1 ★The cloud playback does not work. Period. So called events do not work either. Live playback does not work either. Cumbersome to setup, no support whatsoever. The india support could not care less about this and asked to send an email. Total waste of space and time. Avoid this brand - your time and frustration in the end is not going to worth it. Besides, the cameras they sale are not cheap. I wish I could leave a -1 star for this.
1 ★I pay for cloud and have two cameras setup with motion detection. I built a custom grid for the outdoor one. Up until recently, everything was fine. However now I receive zero notifications on my phone when an event is triggered. The application doesn't even have the notification dot. I can live view just fine and watch old footage from events, but never receive a notification. This is critical and must be fixed.
1 ★Sucks balls. Just access it through a pc with horrible edge browser. Remember why you don't buy more amcrest products
1 ★Really disappointed! This is not a rating on the camera, just the amcrest cloud. I installed this because the ad for the camera says you get 4 hours of cloud recording. After configuring and wasting way too much time I found out they changed it and now you do not get any recording only viewing. This can be done, and much more efficiently, through the amcrest pro app. Making the cloud and thus this app completely redundant. In response to the developer response, look at what I said about your ad.
2 ★Issues with connections. Drops after updates. Losses settings. Unable to use wifi setup. Must connect via ethernet and it still doesnt work over wifi with amcest cloud even through it works on the viewer. My house was broken into and i had no recording of the event. I gave it two stars instead of one because for months it worked well once it was setup but failed when i needed it most.
4 ★Revising on 11/12/19: Problem below now corrected by Amcrest Support. Previous Basically - don't use camera for a while (hours, day) then open camera in Cloud app and only get black screen, then either switch to other camera in app and back or, leave app and then open app and go to problem camera and now Cloud view live and motion events show. This blank (black) screen syndrome will happen for any of my 3 cameras if not used for a while.
