SMSbook es una recopilación de una gran cantidad de mensajes cortos "SMS" intercambiados mediante teléfono móvil entre cuatro íntimos amigos, representados aquí por los nicks: ANDER, AITOR, ELENA y _después_. Todos estos mensajes se caracterizan porque no son triviales, tenían que escribirse, eran algo que había que decir y que debía ser leído, están cargados de poesía y de sinceridad, y pueden ser palabras para adentrarse en el autoconocimiento de aquellos que los lean.Cuando se necesita decir a alguien que nos ocurre dentro, y nadie está cerca para escucharnos, tener un medio de contactar con los amigos es una luz en la oscuridad. Los mensajes cortos (sms) fueron el inicio de un medio rápido de mandar un "grito" de manera inmediata sin necesidad de hablar a aquell@s que debían "escuharlo", no eran el origen, pues ya existían las cartas y los telegramas, ni serían a la postre el medio más eficiente, pero tuvieron un valor y una significación enormes.
La limitación de caracteres de los sms implicaba concretar el sentimiento, y sin embargo a veces era muy difícil, razón por la que aparecen mensajes largos que son la unión de lo que fueron varios hechos llegar de manera consecutiva.
Esperamos que al leerlos encontreís los entresijos de esta interacción tan singular, los significados más profundos de unas pocas letras que como diría Jodorowsky solo pretenden "hundir la lengua en el abismo y usar las palabras como espejo".
