Key Features:
Works offline: just download all desired dictionaries and use them when you need it.
Video translation: recognition and translation of words in real time. To translate a word just tap it on the screen.
Images translation: recognition and translation of words from the mobile device’s camera or from images on your phone. To translate a word just tap it on the image.
Translation of words and phrases from other apps. You can use one of the following methods:
• Tap Translate in Lingvo in the menu (starting from Android 6.0)
• Tap Share in the menu and then select Lingvo in the list of suggested apps
• Tap Copy (in clipboard) and then translate the copied text when Lingvo gets active OR by tapping on special notification placed in notification area as shortcut

Dictionary entries contain detailed information about words, including translation alternatives, word usage examples, phonetic transcriptions, inflected forms of words, native audio pronunciations for most common words (in some dictionaries).
On the “Inflected forms” tab, you can quickly see declension of nouns, conjugation of verbs, etc.

1 ★When you want to listen British version of audio for example, "missile" it says "missy", for "miss" says "missile", for "happiness" says "alcohol"😂 and after listening the American version it says something else not only for some words that I mentioned above but for all words. CHECK IT and FIX IT IN YOUR FUTURE UPDATES, PLEASE! DO NOT DISAPPOINT US, PLEASE!
2 ★I'm really angry with this developer! 3 years ago I bought them a Spanish dictionary (Larousse), and after I upgraded my phone, I tried to install again the dictionary from the ABBYY's dictionary list. However, I discovered that the dictionary was not anymore in that list! I wrote them to ask what was happening and their response left me stunned! They told me they use to "lease" "external" dictionaries for a limited period, and that the Larousse's "leasing time" was expired. It is the first time in my long life I see something like this! I have never bought a book nor a dictionary for a limited period! Usually you just buy it and it belongs to you forever. What kind of service is this?! I give them 2 stars because they answered me, but I can't forgive them for their unsatisfactory "limited period" policy.
4 ★Very good application with a large set of dictionaries, although they are slowly outdating. What is also missing is any kind of learning support. It would be nice to create flashcards from dictionary entries and then train them with Spaced Repetition System (see Anki or similar apps).
5 ★Would be much better to be able to use dictionaries bought in Android version in iOS version of the same app and vice-versa.
2 ★Doesn't allow you to add words to "selected" list, cause that list is absent. Therefore I can't use it as a mobile solution for language learning purposes in pair with Abbby Lingvo Desktop. Sheer greediness or dumbness of Abbyy marketers stops this app from being number one in dictionaries category. I glad I wasted money only on the one dictionary before I tried to use this useless dict's shell. Upd. OK, will wait another couple of years.
5 ★A useful app that's been with me for years. There is just enough vocabulary in the free version to help with every day searches. It shows stresses and transcription, and it's easy to use, so I would recommend 10/10
2 ★Please update your app description as "the app require to be android user savvy." I've got a weird and unexpected answer from Lingvo Support after asking about the inability to download audio files with the pronunciation: Save this file in the Internal Memory/Android/data/com.abbyy.mobile.lingvo.market/files/Sound; Reboot the device; Run ABBYY Lingvo. Does Lingvo Support believe that any user knows what does it mean: "Internal Memory/Android/data/com.abbyy.mobile.lingvo.market/files/Sound"? Does the Lingvo Support believe that any user knows how to follow this instruction: "Save this file in the Internal Memory/Android/data/com.abbyy.mobile.lingvo.market/files/Sound" BTW The user most likely will be not able to save into this directory by default. There is no "Internal Memory," there is "Internal Storage." The user will need to move this downloaded file from downloads folder into Internal Memory/Android/data/com.abbyy.mobile.lingvo.market/files/Sound. Please update your app description as "the app require to be android user savvy."
5 ★I use this for Russian-English translation. It has a lot of great dictionary. Some of the english translations are slightly off (when it comes to expressions) but usually i get the gist of what the translators mean. Love the audio and stress marks.
1 ★I cannot restore my purchases on new phone, just getting "An error occurred while restoring the purchase". And after pressing refresh I get "Lingvo server is not available". Android 9, phone Essential PH-1... While all others services work, all other servers are available.
5 ★I had previously experienced technical difficulties which resulted to me applying a 1 star rating on my initial review. However, ABBY's support team were productive and effective. They've provided prompt responses to my concerns and questions that were addressed or answered. As a result, all dictionaries are in working order now. I appreciate their help - I am amending my rating to 5 stars.
