Den är utvecklad av forskare vid Umeå universitet för behandling av urinläckage i samband med trängningar (trängningsinkontinens) och för urinläckage både i samband med trängningar och vid ansträngning (blandinkontinens). Forskningsstudier vid Umeå universitet har visat att självbehandling med appen Tät®ll resulterar i signifikant förbättring av urinläckage, inkontinenssymtom och trängningar samt leder till bättre livskvalitet.
