La Nueva Radio YA comenzó sus transmisiones con un transmisor antiguo de la marca ELKOR, el cual resultó ser un aparato artesanal con características híbridas el cual fue reconstruido por un técnico que colaboraba con nosotros. En el año 2002 decidimos crear nuestra página web para mantener informado al mundo y a nuestra patria; desarrollando al mismo tiempo un servidor de streaming de audio; el cual inició con una capacidad de 10 usuarios simultáneos. Hoy en día este servidor tiene una capacidad de 200 usuarios simultáneos y transmite las 24 horas del día.Para ese entonces la radio contaba con una computadora “clon” y todo el sistema de recopilación de noticias se realizaba por completo en tres máquinas de escribir de la marca Olympia. Cientos de hojas eran utilizadas a diario para que los locutores pudiesen transmitir las noticias en el Noticiero YA, primera audición, así como el resto de programas.
