Pioneer’s Advanced Remote Control (Pioneer ARC) app converts your Android smartphone* into a powerful touchscreen remote control, which allows you to control and customize your compatible Pioneer car stereo. Pioneer ARC lets you browse your favorite music, switch sources (FM tuner, Bluetooth Audio, etc), launch 3rd party apps, customize the illumination colors and audio settings of your Pioneer system.
Compatible features vary by model.
*The Pioneer ARC app is compatible with Android smartphones running 4.1 and above.
For USB connections This function is compatible with a phone that runs Android 4.1 up to 7.1.2 and also supports AOA (Android Open Accessory) 2.0, but the compatibility depends on the smartphone. Some Android devices connected via AOA 2.0 may not work properly or emit sounds due to their own software design, regardless of the OS version.
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★App worked as expected with a DEH-s6010bs and a Samsung J7. When I upgraded to a Galaxy A6 the app no longer works. I can control the phone through the head unit, and vice-versa, but the sound refuses to come out of the radio. It comes out of the phone as I control it with the radio. Pandora will not work through the app either. Is it my new phone that isnt supported? the old one works just dine still....
1 ★I'm very unhappy with this app. I need it to interact with my van stereo, and nothing else. The app runs PERMANENTLY in the background and is draining battery all the time. When the phone is switched on, the app starts automatically playing audio - this has embarrassed me a couple of times when I have switched my phone on after meetings. It also starts playing audio automatically when plugged into the stereo as well which is always a pain. Why is it so hard to disable this app??? Simple UI FFS
3 ★Important for getting app to connect via Bluetooth or USB. A bug in the arc software prevents connection via the source button. EVEN IF YOU TRY TO USE THE RECONNECT BUTTON. To get this working, you need to force the stereo to start the app on your phone, Make sure you are on any source but "APP" and then hold down the volume knob button for 5 seconds to start the pioneer app on your phone. You will now be connected! Hope this helps! Original post from "Hensperformance"
1 ★This app is crapp. After installing the head unit and doing nothing to it but setting the time, I tried to install ARC on my phone. So far, it refuses to recognize the wired connection (despite what the salesman said, the head unit does not support Bluetooth) even though I set the head unit to use the wired connection. The app insists on shutting down and waiting for the Bluetooth connection and there is no way to override this in ARC. USB debugging has nothing to do with this because I mistakenly assumed that some other poster's suggestion to enable USB debugging would somehow fix everything. Wrong. Pioneer needs to stick with making electronics. They do a fantastic job with that. Producing apps or putting their names on third party apps? Not such a good idea.
1 ★Absolute rubbish. Head unit will not connect to phone. Given up.
1 ★Pioneer is shortchanging Android users BIG TIME! I recently tested an iphone for a month and this app is so much better on iOS than it is on Android. How did pioneer decide that the ios users get a more usable app than we do? I only use the android app to set my EQ. I used the ios app everytime i drove, for everything, even maps and radio. Thats how much different. I hope to see some updates coming to make ours better......
1 ★Fails to connect The app constantly tells me I am not connected The head unit says connection failed, tried to Re pair, Re connect, even wiped it all and started again Useless app
1 ★My stereo doesn't have blue tooth so I was excited when I could use the USB port to read music. I don't want to have my phone in my hand and Change songs. It was great changing it on the stereo. Then I kept hearing tiny cut interruptions every 5-8 seconds . So I thought maybe it was reading the music wrong. I installed the app hoping it would fix this issue. Then it disabled changing the music on the deck. WTH.now back to aux cable.this app should not even be an option. It totally sucks . The whole point is to not use your phone while driving. Trying to reinvent the wheel or some ish
1 ★I loved this app at first, the advanced settings were great for configuring my system and it was awesome to have control of the crossover frequencies right there on my touch screen. Now it won't connect at all. My head unit is connecting directly to my phone via bluetooth and plays music I have downloaded to my Samsung music but not through the app. I had problems with the connection since I first installed the app. App needs work, back to the drawing board, app developers!
1 ★Of course, nothing for avh-models. Just like all the rest of their apps. You know, the unit I have, the avh-2330nex, was on the shelves everywhere else in February of this year. If pioneer was going to abandon this model completely, it wouldve been nice to know and given a discount. Wish I could return it. Been a pioneer customer exclusively since 98, but the way business is conducted nowadays, I think this being my 9th head unit bought, will be my last
1 ★Irritating. This app worked fine with my galaxy note five to my pioneer DEH-X2800UI. I just upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S9 plus and now I can't even get it to connect to my phone!!!!! And my player just says Format Read!!! This app is now connecting to my head unit after the most recent update thank you much appreciated. But now the music isn't being played through my system. Lol I have to laugh because it's reading on the head unit but the music isn't being played through it. Come on guys!!?
2 ★Doesnt work well at all with my pioneer tried to have it work and use pandora i deleted it after half hour of fiddling with it
