‘힐링유 VR’은 삼성서울병원 암병원에서 자체 개발한 가상현실 체험 앱으로, ‘17년 1월 국내 병원계 최초로 출시한 ‘삼성서울병원 암병원VR+’앱 이후 두 번째로 출시한 가상현실 애플리케이션입니다.힐링유VR앱은 주의분산치료(Distraction Therapy)의 일환으로 환자의 심리적 고통 완화에 도움을 주기 위해 개발되었습니다. 주의분산치료가 환자의 functional pain(복합적 통증) 치료에 개선효과가 있음은 정신건강의학, 신경치료분야의 다양한 임상연구를 통해 입증된 바 있습니다.
이 앱은 항암치료의 부작용을 겪는 암환자가 심리적 안정을 취하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있습니다. 또한 화상 환자의 경우 붕대를 교체할 때 심한 통증을 겪게 되는데 힐링유VR앱을 통해 세계 유명 관광명소의 여행에 몰입(immersion)함으로서 화상 치료를 받는 사실을 잊게 해 통증을 완화시켜줄 수 있습니다.이 외에도 알츠하이머병과 어린이 주의력결핍과잉행동장애(ADHD) 관리에도 활용될 수 있을 것입니다.

• 거동이 불편한 환자가 직접 가볼 수 없는 해외 관광명소(프랑스, 사이판, 로타 등)의 가상현실 체험, 테마파크 에버랜드(사파리, 우주관람차 등)의 명소를 360° VR 모드로 체험
• 앱 실행 후 VR모드를 선택, 구글 카드보드(Cardboard), 삼성기어 VR 등의 VR HMD(Head Mounted Display)를 장착하여 가상현실 콘텐츠 체험
• VR기기가 없는 사용자도 일반모드를 선택하여 손가락으로 화면을 터치하여 360° 가상현실 콘텐츠 둘러보기 가능
