Description
Easily change the last modification date and time of your files. This app requires ROOT access and BusyBox.On Android OS, every time you copy a file, the last modified date of the destination file is not preserved. For instance, if you copy an image file (i.e. picture), the Photo Gallery app will show the new file in the wrong order.
Use File TimeStamp to change the last modification date of your files.
This app is particularly useful when copying files between devices. Run the app on the original device (does not require root on that device), copy your files and an additional text file generated by the app to the new device. Run the app again on the new device (with ROOT access) and easily change the date of your files.
File TimeStamp also allows you to change the date of all your files at once, based on their file name or imagens based on EXIF Tag of JPEG files.
You can change the date of a single file or in batches.
The application currently supports the following masks:
WhatsApp:
IMG-[yyyyMMdd]-WAnnnn. Eg: IMG-20161201-WA0001.jpg
Ignores all non-numeric characters and considers yyyyMMddHHmmss (first 14 digits):

How to install File Timestamp APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download File Timestamp APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads

5 ★I loved almost everything about and it's the only app I found that does this so accurately and safety. The only thing I didn't like is when locating file by file it doesn't remember last folder path, so you have to relocate... Also some date formats of old phone photos are not recognised... Nonetheless, thanks for this great app!
4 ★Just missing the same feature for other files that are stored with time mask. Particularly mp4! I imported lots of media from a WP and this set all images right, but the mp4s continue with bad timestamp. ALso the ability to edit/create masks would be awesome.
5 ★My hair was all in a fuss when Kitkat was blocking my rsync file dates. This app fixed all my old videos (3 years worth, 3 devices) and let me create a nice 1 Second a Day. The file name mask worked great.
5 ★When I copied my pictures using the LG File Manager to an external SD card, all my photos ended up the same date. This great utility fixed the file dates for me.
4 ★Great tool that help my files got organized again. However, I found a bug that it does not work on non-English characters eg Chinese. I would give five stars if this could be fixed in next version.

5 ★My photos changed their dates without me doing anything that i know of, it drove me nuts! I uses this and now everything is back to normal! A big thank you!
4 ★I transferred some pics and vids from internal storage back over to SD after SD filled up and overflowed. Gallery viewed these as the date I transferred them even though the file names represented the correct dates. I couldn't correct these manually thru Gallery or Root Explorer. This let me correct them one by one, then I let it process the whole Gallery folder and it straightened everything out perfectly. The UI is a little clunky but not terrible, and you don't need to spend much time in it anyways.
1 ★I rooted my new Moto X just so that I may use the app, but I couldn't get it to work. I've installed BusyBox, so I don't know what could be the problem. It always fails with an error message. I've emailed the developer, but he hasn't responded.
5 ★It worked really well with pics that had exif data. For the ones that didn't, it wasn't able to process a bunch of pictures from an old phone (HTC DINC) that saved in a date format the app doesn't support. I sent an email in the hopes of an update.
