Q: What is an APK File?
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).

2 ★Need one for a MS Windows 10 operating system.
1 ★I wish I could rate this as NO stars. Trying to use this app. It says it needs an update. Non available. Uninstalled. Reinstalled. It will not even open. This rubbish has been going on for too long! Android version 9.
1 ★Kept getting logout screen rather than magazine
3 ★Content of IET magazines is very interesting, but app is difficult to use on a mobile device with annoying multimedia that makes reading the content a struggle. Screen resets to full screen each time window turns, you touch outside the page or times out with a minute font that cannot be read without zooming in. The new version is not a lot better, although I don't have the storage issues that I once had... Could do a lot better...
2 ★Very clunky way to read the magazine. It doesn't allow you to preview the page and select the bits you want to read - you have to swipe through the whole page to find what the article contains. I found myself reading less than the normal magazine. Other apps do this much better (see Zinio for example). Also, each issue is *massive* (even the lite version). The videos don't add to the magazine, and should be linked rather than embedded. Some of the interactive graphics were not interactive. Lots of improvement needed from a tech organisation!
1 ★18 March - total failure of the app "unknown app". Have uninstalled for safety. Appalling that IET have no comment to make. Earlier: I notice no other pixel 2 XL reviews. App does not work - download worked once but since then app closes a few secs after being opened. So fundamentally unusable. Follow up in Jan 2018.... Emailed e&t but no response. Still not working with latest issue. And this is a service I am paying for?? Poor, very poor.
1 ★Adverts!!! Come on, every 2-3 page turns there is a full page advert! Ialready pay for this content via my annual subscription. Yes i know youneed to protect the advertising revenues you get through the printed mediabut this is so intrusive it makes me dislike the advertisers. ESPECIALLY asthe adverts have no relevance at all to the article they are splatted allover.
1 ★This is a very poorly constructed app. Does not save the last page you were on. If you leave an article, you have to swipe through the whole magazine to find it again. There are a multitude of other amateur mistakes which I find hugely disappointing considering the nature of the company.
3 ★The failure to include downloads to SD seems to suggest either a poor port from IOS or failure to employ UX or understand users. I expect better from the IET!
1 ★No way to zoom in on small text. How can an engineering & technology organization make such a careless omission? Very disappointed with the IET.
2 ★New version does not permit pinch zoom or scrolling of embedded tables/ text. Why the backward step??
2 ★The pages are beautiful and interesting, but the text is tiny on my 7" screen. There is no pinch to zoom feature that I could find. There is no zoom menu item, either.
