O aplicativo Capriteca foi desenvolvido pela Embrapa Caprinos e Ovinos por meio do projeto Termo de Execução Descentralizada (TED nº 118/2020) em parceria com a Secretaria de Governança Fundiária, Desenvolvimento Territorial e Socioambiental, do Ministério do Desenvolvimento Agrário e Agricultura familiar (MDA), cofinanciado pelo Fundo Internacional de Desenvolvimento Agrícola (Fida), no âmbito do Projeto Dom Helder Câmara (PDHC).O Capriteca propõe-se a oferecer uma interface de fácil acesso aos agricultores, principalmente aqueles em situação de restrição de acesso à internet em comunidades rurais, bem como se estabelecer como uma ferramenta digital útil para técnicos e extensionistas rurais, formuladores e gestores de políticas públicas e demais agentes que atuam na assistência técnica e extensão rural, ao portfólio de soluções tecnológicas desenvolvido pela Embrapa para caprinocultura e ovinocultura do país.
No Capriteca o usuário poderá acessar conteúdos de recomendações técnicas em formatos digitais (documentos PDF), programas de rádios e podcasts (Prosa Rural) e conteúdo em vídeos (canal da Embrapa no Youtube). O objetivo da ferramenta é apoiar a política de Assistência Técnica e Extensão Rural Digital (ATER Digital) e contribuir para sua implementação pelos órgãos competentes dos governos, nas esferas municipais, estaduais e federal, bem como pelas organizações da sociedade civil de interesse público e todos os demais agentes da iniciativa pública e privada que atuam no desenvolvimento da caprinocultura e ovinocultura do país.
