A cultura do maracujazeiro pode ser atacada por diversas pragas que afetam a produção e a comercialização dos frutos in natura. Dentre essas, destacam-se as viroses, a murcha ou fusariose, causada por Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. passiflorae ou Fusarium solani, os percevejos (Diactor bilineatus, Holhymenia clavigera, Leptoglossus gonagra, Anisoscelis spp.), e as lagartas (Dione juno juno e Agraulis vanillae vanillae). O diagnóstico precoce dessas pragas, na maioria das vezes, é dificultado pela falta de informação quanto à correta identificação da praga, o conhecimento de sua epidemiologia e dos principais métodos de controle. Para auxiliar o produtor nesse diagnóstico, a Embrapa Mandioca e Fruticultura, em parceria com a Embrapa Cerrados, Embrapa Semiárido e Universidades, Federal do Recôncavo da Bahia e Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia, desenvolveu em 2019 um aplicativo gratuito para celular que traz informações das principais pragas e doenças da cultura e suas formas de controle. A principal vantagem do aplicativo é poder ser utilizado off-line. Também permite que o produtor compare fotos de uma praga ou do sintoma de uma doença, por ele tiradas no seu pomar, com as imagens disponíveis no aplicativo. O aplicativo substitui a consulta do conteúdo impresso, o que significa economia de tempo e papel, simplificando e agilizando o diagnóstico rápido, e por sua vez, promovendo um controle mais eficiente de cada praga de interesse.Latest updates
