O Monitora Oeste é um aplicativo que traz indicadores agrometeorológicos e informações sobre aspectos fitossanitários das culturas do algodão e da soja para a região do Extremo Oeste Baiano. É fruto de uma parceria entre a Embrapa Territorial, ABAPA, IBA, AIBA e Fundação Bahia.As informações fitossanitárias incluem a favorabilidade climática e ocorrências registradas por técnicos da região em plantas e armadilhas de esporos para a ferrugem asiática da soja e para a mancha de ramulária do algodoeiro.Os dados são apresentados em mapas, tabelas e gráficos de acordo com o município ou núcleos regionais.
Os indicadores agrometeorológicos são apresentados na forma de mapas de calor, em que os cinco índices – Albedo, Biomassa, Evapotranspiração e NDVI – são estimados a cada 14 dias com base em dados meteorológicos e imagens de satélite
