„Echa Leśne” to magazyn przyjaciół lasu. Ma tradycje sięgające 1924 r., kiedy to utworzono Lasy Państwowe.Pismo stawia sobie za cel popularyzację wiedzy o lesie i przyrodzie. Skierowane jest do wszystkich osób odwiedzających Lasy Państwowe, przede wszystkim turystów, miłośników przyrody, rodziców z dziećmi, nauczycieli, studentów i wykładowców. „Echa Leśne” otwierają las dla wszystkich, prezentują urodę jego flory i fauny, a przy tym w przystępny sposób tłumaczą zachodzące w lesie naturalne zjawiska, rolę gospodarki prowadzonej przez leśników i znaczenie drewna, jako odnawialnego surowca o wszechstronnym zastosowaniu. Zachęcają do aktywnego wypoczynku i rekreacji wśród zielonych ostępów. Są też przewodnikiem po krajowej ofercie turystycznej Lasów Państwowych. Bogato ilustrowane artykuły adresowane są zarówno do starszych, jak i najmłodszych miłośników lasu.
