The New Jerusalem Catholic Bible is an update to the Jerusalem Bible, an English version of the French Bible de Jérusalem.
When the French version was updated in 1973, the changes were used to revise the Jerusalem Bible, creating the New Jerusalem Bible. The revisions were substantial. The revised version is said to be less literary but, for the most part, more literal. The introductions and footnotes, translated almost entirely from the French, have also been thoroughly revised and expanded, making it one of the most scholarly editions of the Bible.

4 ★I think is Great and the mayor reason why I didn't give your app; the 5 stars rating is because is missing a mayor tool. (Tha hard copy or the actual physical Bible) has. Maybe your company can add this feature In one of your updates; the feature or (tool) is call scrutinizing. In physical Bible when you go thru the verses it will have in some of verses side notes with different verses. This is use in conjunction with or Theology book to obtain more readings for the celebration of the word theme

4 ★Very easy to navigate. You can get to any reference in just a few seconds. A bit frustrating that when you come out of a chapter, the apt navigates straight back to the contents page when quite often I just want to go to a different section within the same book. This could be user error! Overall though, a very good experience.
4 ★Good, straightforward app. The presentation of the text makes it easy to read. It is pleasing that on opening the app is goes straight back to where you previously left off reading. What would be really nice would be 1 option to see the Jerusalem Bible (not NEW Jerusalem) 2 ability to read it offline 3 ability to see the readings for each day. I have another app that does 2 and 3 but the version and presentation of the Bible is less readable and I have to use bookmark so for now this one wins
5 ★This app is excellent for quick referencing when preparing liturgies or doing research. It is also excellent for those who are limited in their vision and manual dexterity with books. I have one suggestion for improvement to incorporate the footnotes of the Jerusalem Bible. I realise that this would be quite a large task but it would be a fantastic advantage for those who are involved in courses and find it difficult to read the the small footnote print in the written texts of published books.
