1 ★It's horribly unintuative. Tried for 25 minutes to get a charge started. Selected the charger & socket type, then no obvious next step. Gave up! Screenshots requested!? This happened 6 weeks ago! I'm unlikely to use the app again. So I'm afraid I don't think there will be any screenshots.
1 ★The App logs in with a link sent to my email address. The App then tries to connect with my existing Octopus Energy account and immediately crashed to a blank screen. Doesn't seem to work at all.
3 ★Good to just find a station. Route planning needs work as the search is next to useless. Why can't I just select a location on the map, just like Google Maps.
1 ★Looks ideal, however, once you go to a page you can't go back. Clicking the back button has no effect. Won't be using till this is fixed, as the only option is to close the app and re open
2 ★Not used this in practice yet but in testing it seems to mostly tell me there's a problem with almost every charging point I select. Not sure how much use this going to get although the charging costs (when I can see them) seem fairly reasonable
4 ★Map panning is snappy, mapbox is much clearer than google maps, even works with thousands of chargers. Tapping on markers takes about 20-30s to open the charger details drawer, which is painfully slow (seems fixed!). Key details like connection fees may not be shown immediately, without expanding collapsible items (not obvious). Back button inconsistent, sometimes closing the app or doing nothing. Haven't found a way to filter by cost. So far more promising than most other programs
1 ★Pretty lame. Despite the renault zoe having been around a long time, this app fails to recognise that a ZE50 AC only version exists. Instead the app only recognises the CCS version of the ZE50. Therefore, one star until the app is updated to recognise the existence of hundreds of thousands of ZE50's without CCS.
4 ★Terrible app that won't recognise I am an Octopus Energy customer, which leaves me in a doom loop of Magic Link emails and error 500 messages when logging in. UPDATE - This does appear to be fixed but choices of cars use descriptions not matching supplier specifications.
4 ★Good start. More effort needed on improving support for app-based charging.
3 ★Good start, but a lot more work is needed to make this app at all useful for journey planning compared to alternatives like ZAP MAP. 1. Ability to manually alter your EV range. We all drive differently. Some of us stick more closely to speed limits. Winter range is different from summer. 2. Ability to save routes. 3. Ability to tick "my location" as a start point. 4. Ability to choose my charging points in the plan process , ionity is expensive /not 1st choice.
2 ★Uninstalled within a few minutes, as this app is currently useless where I live (West Lothian, Scotland). The only charging points in the app are super expensive and vast majority of chargers are not on map even for information. ChargePlace Scotland App also does not have every charger mapped but still ten times more, and hence it is now useful. As for the graphical interface and snapping of the app, including the map, you have done a great job. Pity about near empty database. 😕
4 ★Existing Octopus user. The app was easy to download and get started. Has the vast majority of charging networks shown in the map so really useful for finding points close by. Can filter on those which accept the juice card but these are still limited so doesn't yet get rid of the need for multiple apps and or cards if you want to be sure you can charge up on long journeys. Hope fully this will get better. Could be improved with a route planner and ability to filter by cost of charging
