Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Probably the worst app I've ever used. It logs readings in mg/dl which might as well be another language. Mmol/l is the way blood readings are logged on every testing machine I've ever used... Is mg/dl an American thing? The fact you cannot change this is stupid. The layout and setup is really confusing and it is not worth the hassle using it
1 ★What's the idea with the new permissions?!? Why do you need my IP?!? And my insurance number?!? Bluetooth doesn't work, device is very difficult to manipulate. I think it's an awful device in terms of user-friendliness.
1 ★Extremely dissapointed in changes since last update. I used to love the app, was set out nicely and easy to see the info you wanted and to use. Now it looks like an old app from 10years ago. Lots of niggly annoying things when trying to input info and see important information. I've been trying to find a way to revert to an earlier version, but no luck so far
4 ★It now syncs reliably (nPop, OTG cable, Galaxy S9), and also finally adds the readings into the Samsung Health app. Not convinced as to how accurate the nPop device itself is, but the app now is - for me at least - good. *update* I got a second nPop and the readings from that were very close to the first, so if it's not accurate it is at least consistently inaccurate. ;-) Mine seem to provide readings (using strips from different batches) a little higher than they actually are (compared to lab blood tests). Also (with app version 2.5.19) after updating my Galaxy S9 to Android 9 (ie "Pie") from 8, I found that when connecting the nPop the app would launch automatically as before, but freeze part way through downloading the latest readings. If I opened the app manually first, then the download worked.
1 ★It was great before the upgrade, all the things needed to be input where on the same screen, now you have to go hunting for hidden menues for example logging period ie before /After meal etc, insulins are still not in alphabetical order etc, and graph at top of screen has become smaller and less defined, in all the app has become almost useless, i would revert back to the previous setup if there was an option.
3 ★I like that this connects to my caresens device via bluetooth, takes away some of the admin involved in controlling type 1 diabetes. Some things I wish were changed or added: I don't like that the app announces the BGL when you've just tested, seems to be no way to mute? It would be GREAT if there were stats and graphs to look at for the amount of insulin used daily, especially a daily average- Long/short acting separated, to keep track of insulin intake changes!
2 ★The app works well to record glucose and ketones by transferring them from my meter but the facility to add information such as insulin doses seems to have disappeared, although the help men I still refers to it and the trend comparison graphs are still visible in the reports. This severely limits the use of the app, and the meter.
2 ★This was my 3rd (4th?) attempt at using this app but I still can't make it work. Why does it need location turned on to use bluetooth? Why does it want access to my contacts and the ability to make calls? I just want my results stored. But can't do that because I can't set it up, even when I do allow the settings that I really don't want! So it's removed, again, and I hope I remember to stay away from it next time I get the bright idea to try again!
4 ★I find the fact that I cannot add more than 1 medication infuriating. I often take a Metformin with a glipazide and/or an Ozempic 1mg injection. And at different times of the day as I am also insomniac. I'm type 2 diabetic. I appreciate the work gone into this App. Thanks. Please make it more 'mouldable' for the 'End' user. Kind Regards.
1 ★instructions werent clear around the pin .. would not recognise meter ...meter and stabber not as robust not able to use app so have uninstalled
1 ★Rubbish won't connect after a week.
1 ★Brand new metre, not syncing for me at all. Data entry is cumbersome and reports are not very helpful. (Similar apps are much better, I've only tried this with the hope of automatic syncs. Even though my metre shows fine in the app as connected and the metre sits next to the phone no syncing is ever accomplished.)
