5 ★I have the paid version of dark sky. I find this app to be very accurate. one of my favorite features of this app is that the app allows you to update your local area current conditions. I have it set to give me a daily summary UV and umbrella reminders all about the time that I wake up so I know what my day will look like. this app is very simple to use very straightforward I highly recommend this app.
5 ★The app details and map are very good, with easily accessible, concise info. I had posted in my initial review that the widgets' low temperature should be the forecasted low, not the one from the previous night. Maybe a coincidence, but a new version came along a couple of hours later that does just that. Great responsiveness. Would still like to see some larger widget fonts, but 5 ☀️.
5 ★I do a lot of work outdoors. It's very important that I know what to expect from Mother Nature. Not just today but also for the next hour and through the week ahead, so that I can make my plans accordingly. The local television news isn't dependable. Even with all of their radar equipment they can't tell me at a moment's notice exactly what to expect where I'm standing. That's the benefit of Dark Sky. With user information being factored in I know what, when and where. Beautiful interface too
5 ★This is really accurate. I've been using it for 1 year now and whenever it tells me its gonna rain in 10 mins, its really gonna rain. As a motorcycle rider I can rely on this app when I go out with rain gear or not. Its worth every penny.
3 ★I tried this app free several years ago in Oregon. Worked beautifully!!! Didn't end up using it because of the end of the tour. Started using a paid version this time based on the past. Sorry I did, because new owners or developers must of taken over and changed it making it just OK. Too bad, they had a great product before.
3 ★When I first downloaded the app and paid for the $2.99 subscription over several months ago I thought Dark Sky was super accurate. I would have given it 5 stars initially. But it seems the forecast prediction and radar have increasingly become sub par. I mean, when it's raining cats and dogs shouldn't a weather radar reflect that?
5 ★uodate: the widget is now working. i love the app,it seems to be accurate. the notification bar updates regularly. the rain notifications seem to be timely. my only complaint is the widget does not update city or temperature. i have to remove it then add it back. hopefully this gets resolved with next update then i will update my review.
4 ★In the middle of the 2 week evaluation period and so far so good. but it hasn't rained since I got it! So the minute by minute rain forecast really hasn't been tested. One issue: I'd like to see the forecasted winds in the "next 7 days" graphic.
5 ★There is nothing like a notification right before you leave telling you to run back and grab an umbrella because it's going to rain in 7 min. or waiting for the rain to die down and seeing a notification that it'll lighten up/stop in 10 min. this app truly has some marvelous powers. it is super helpful.
5 ★Almost Perfect! I've tried MANY apps, and this one nails it. I liked it so much I upgraded, and now it's even better! The way lots of complex data is visually represented is top notch. The maps are adequate, but not as detailed as some other apps. This could be improved. I would also like to see the ability to select % probability of precipitation as my default. Neither of these suggestions are worth taking away a star. I can't recommend this highly enough...and I do! A lot. Great work folks! 👍
4 ★Overall a really good app. Full functionality requires subscription. Very accurate. It does lack a unique alert tone for severe weather alerts. Would definitely benefit from an emergency alert. 3 tornado warnings and aside from the pop up, no notification. Not helpful when you're asleep or not looking at your phone.
2 ★Weather app is good but premium fails to recognize subscription. I've tried uninstalling and clearing cache but still says "Start Free Trial". When I try to subscribe again, it gives an error. Not worth the hassle to get subscription to work.
