Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★Promising so far, but several menus appear blank. This includes a lot of the asset menu, including the map when adding a location, and the drone type in the aircraft type menu. There are likely more. I also can't enter these values manually. I also cannot enter decimal points into my weight for the quad, which is supposed to be measured in kilograms.
5 ★Update: initially rated one star when I kept receiving "Unexpected error! There was an error processing your LAANC request" messages when submitting requests. Kittyhawk support determined there was a problem with FAA dataset in the area in which I was getting this error. This is an area with overlapping control areas from two different airports. Workaround was to make sure area did not span the controlled area borders. Tried Airmap while I was having these problems and much prefer Kittyhawk.
1 ★The app did not give any justification for permission to access my storage and phone. Was very glitchy and slow. Crashed multiple times without reason. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it's the apps fault.
1 ★App map glitches when you don't give them permission to have access to your media files, contacts, and ability to make and receive phone calls. Kinda weird they need all that info..
5 ★Best app I've found for LAANC easy to setup and get authorizations to fly your UAS... great customer service.
1 ★At first the app worked then it said it need storage and phone permissions. I click ok and it brings me to settings with now way to turn them. Why does it need these permissions?
1 ★This app is a spy. It is asking access to my photos, location, storages, cameras, and etc. Without it allowing it you won't be able to use it.
5 ★I didn't really know what was getting into when I got my drone. I had a great fear of this test and rules of the FAA. Well I desided I would call the FAA and was wronge. I met some the niceies and helpful people. I found all my ansews and its not bad or as hard to be a operator after all. Thanks to Mr.Ladon Staff at the FAA!! and others at the FAA.
2 ★App looks fantastic, and concepts are great. My issues are the app doesn't work for Canadian airspace. All airports near me only show up as an icon and restricted airspace is not shown. I enabled all map layers and helipad nor airport airspace is reflected. I do see it works in the US airspace, just not in my area of the GTA in Ontario.
1 ★The app shuts down because I am not autgorizing it to manage my phone calls or have access to my photos! Why should I want to let a "map" manage my phone calls and have access to my photos and without that it is not going to be functional? What does my calls and photos have to do with where I can fly my drone?
2 ★Installed the app a couple months ago so I could be in compliance with regs for commercial drone use. App crashes every time I try to open it. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled. Also installed on a 2nd and 3rd device with the same results. Will the developer fix this and let us know when it's ready? I need to use this for my business.
5 ★Great app, as of this review the maps images are not up to date but that's about the only thing not accurate.
