Description

Welcome to the Chicago Works 311 app. This application will allow you to make service requests to 311 and track issues as they are addressed. Simply put, you can watch your tax-dollars work for you. Chicago Works 311 is a mobile application developed by 2pensmedia and Ald. Ameya Pawar. The first version of the 311 app came out while Ameya ran for alderman. Chicago Works 311 was the first service request app developed in Chicago. After the election, 2pensmedia and Ameya worked with the Mayor’s office and fellow alderman to develop a more robust app that plugs into the Open 311 framework.

Chicago Works 311 is supported on devices with Android version 4.1 Jelly Bean and higher.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

4 ★Submitted two reports and issues were resolved by the city in about 2 weeks. App needs to be updated. Crashes a lot
5 ★I wish I had this app when I popped 2 of my tired from a pot hole in Chicago. Maybe this app will help the city have better Control of issues like this.
1 ★This app doesn't. Crashes at start up.
1 ★This is a bare-bones app with a limited list of 311 services included. This means you will often have to use other means to make your report. For example, Alley Potholes is not included. I did not do an exhaustive survey of what report types are available, of course. Certainly not worth paying for, and it doesn't increase my esteem for Alderman Pewar who has associated his name and office with it. The app displays the wrong ward, it apparently queries an old version of the ward map db. Not worth the trouble, nor worth paying for in this state. I will continue to enter reports into the 311 website on my computer.
1 ★New version has ads, but also quite unhelpfully crashes as soon as I try to write a report. This is on a stock nexus 5. Still crashing after 9/10 update
2 ★The app will let you enter service request complaints and submit pictures , but don't loose the CSR number. You won't be able to look up info. Even if you call 311 unless you added your name to request. You can't look up the CSR number on the app either
1 ★It opens fine, but select any option and it crashes. Used to be a pretty good app.
3 ★Need to add all types of city requests, except for 911 type complaints.
1 ★Doesn't work which is what I expected from the City of Chicago.
1 ★Crashes when I select anything but citizen information. Using a Samsung G4 with Android 5.0.1
4 ★Quick way to submit problem reports and service requests. Faster and smoother than via the website
1 ★The app is as useless as the 311 operators; slow, and lazy.
