Description

This free application provides just the essentials of 1-Shot Ballistics App with the addition of being able to select the G1, G5, G6, G7, or G8 drag model. You do NOT have the ability to write csv files or make pdf reports. No additional privileges are required, and there are no adds.

You may choose either English or Metric unit systems for the required inputs and displayed outputs. Separate Range Units allow either feet, yards, or meters to be used for specifying the range distances. This allows English units to be used when ranges are specified in meters.

The App comes pre-loaded with 5 different cartridges, any of which can be modified and saved.

Exterior Ballistic tables and plots are computed for the current selected Cartridge to provide Velocity, Energy, and Bullet trajectory versus range distances.

A customized target solution with inputs including distance, target speed and direction, wind speed and direction, and uphill/downhill angle can be computed.

Local Altitude, Temperature, Pressure, and Humidity values may be used to provide a more precise shooting solution. Optionally, altitude may be used to correct Temperature and/or Pressure with the ICAO Standard Atmospheric Model.

Bullet Length and Environmental factors are used to compute Bullet Stability for the firearms rifling twist rate. The Range and Target Solution pages allow the use of bullet stability information to compute spin drift.

5 ★Simplfied version of 1-Shot Ballistics, but provides support for multiple drag models. It only allows 5 cartrides to be saved, but that is enough for me! The option to show trans-sonic region boundaries has been added to the plots to show the range at which dynamic instability may be a problem.
